The Pho Day event was jointly organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), the Trade Promotion Department ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association, and Tuoi Tre Newspaper, with the support of Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company.

Pho experts share their insights at the talk show.

Attending the opening ceremony were: Ms. Phan Thi Thang, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; and Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

The Pho Day program aims to contribute to making pho a world cultural heritage by telling the story of the rice grain and pho noodles, which carry unique cultural, culinary, diplomatic , and economic values.

Pho Day 2025 took place over two days, December 13th and 14th, featuring nearly 30 stalls from 30 famous and unique pho brands from North to South Vietnam. The event showcased a diverse range of pho dishes reflecting the characteristics of various regions and local cultures, such as: Pho Huong Binh, Pho Thin Bo Ho, Pho Ngoc Vuong (Hanoi), Pho Nhat Vi, Lac Hong Pho (Nam Dinh), Pho Phu Gia, Pho Do - Bac Ha (Lao Cai), Pho Vit Quay (Lang Son), Pho H'Mong Village (formerly Ha Giang), Pho Nho Pho Nui (Pleiku), Pho Sam Ngoc Linh…

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang said: "Pho Day 2025 has made a distinctive mark in introducing Vietnamese culinary culture and is one of the effective models for promoting Vietnamese products to the world."

With international versions such as the Vietnam Pho Festival, connecting businesses and foreign partners, acting as a bridge for trade, and promoting exports for Vietnamese products, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will always accompany Pho Day as a strategic cultural and trade promotion activity; connecting this event to be more closely linked with national promotion programs and national brands.

Numerous diners enjoyed pho at the event.

Not only did they serve thousands of bowls of pho, each pho stall at Pho Day 2025 also carried a story and family-inherited recipes. Among them, the Phat Tai pho cart model was a very new initiative among the pho stalls at Pho Day 2025. After the event, the pho cart will visit orphanages and special schools to bring pho to underprivileged children.

Within the framework of the event, many meaningful activities took place, such as: the talk show "Pho - Then, Now, and Tomorrow," the talk show "Promoting Vietnamese Cuisine to the World," the exhibition "The Story of Pho," and "The Journey of Pho Day 12-12"...

Many stalls selling traditional pho and local specialties were present at the event.

The organizers will donate at least 10% of the pho sales revenue to the "Pho of Love" program, cooking and serving pho to people in flood-affected areas of Dak Lak province who have recently suffered damage from natural disasters.
