Details of the Nhon metro train stoppage incident

The incident of stopping the train on the Nhon - Hanoi station route on the evening of October 24th caused 6 trains to be delayed and 8 trains to be canceled that day, affecting passenger travel.

Hanoi Railway One Member Co., Ltd. (Hanoi Metro) has just reported to the Department of Transport in detail about the train disruption incident on the Nhon - Hanoi Station Metro line on the evening of October 24, causing 6 trains to be delayed and 8 trains to be canceled.

Specifically, according to Hanoi Metro, at 5:24 p.m., there was a power outage at Le Duc Tho station, National University, Chua Ha, Cau Giay.

Immediately after discovering the incident, the Company activated the incident handling plan according to the procedure. Specifically, the Operation Control Center immediately notified relevant units about the incident situation including: Power Repair Team; Signal Information Team; Nhon Depot, Station Operation Team, Train Driver, Hanoi City Traffic Management and Operation Center, CP06 Contractor... to grasp information and coordinate incident handling.

Activate the detention of trains at Nhon station, Cau Giay station and Cau Dien station and make announcements to passengers. Train 04 stops in the middle of the National University - Le Duc Tho station area. The train driver continuously makes announcements and exchanges information and reassures passengers.

The stations broadcast announcements and support passenger service continuously updated on incident handling time and incident situation with units directly at the scene. For passengers who purchased tickets but did not need to continue traveling, their tickets were refunded according to regulations.

At 18:01 the power system was restored and power was supplied to the area from Le Duc Tho station to Cau Giay station. By 18:15 all 4 trains on the route were restored to normal operation.

Notably, the entire incident handling process was confirmed by Hanoi Metro to be carried out in accordance with procedures and included in 57 incident handling scenarios. During the incident handling period, the company ensured safety and did a good job of providing information and service to passengers on the route.
