Nearly 30 years of pushing a cart selling painted cakes on the sidewalk in Ho Chi Minh City

Located on Nguyen Trai Street (District 5), Lam My Phuong's cake cart attracts many people to line up because of her ability to create animal shapes on cakes.

Every night, many people line up to buy cakes from Ms. Phuong, owner of a cart on Nguyen Trai Street (District 5).

The reason the cake is so popular is because of its ability to create special animal shapes. Ms. Phuong said she has been in the business for 29 years. With quick movements, she puts the cake batter into the pan, stirs both sides, and draws many special shapes.

Her cakes are loved by children and adults because of her ability to draw on request. From dragonflies, phoenixes, turtles to simulating customer portraits.

This cake has a fragrant milky aroma, mixed with peanut sauce, salted butter and chocolate. Customers can choose between two types of cake: crispy and soft according to their preference.

The selling price for each type of cake is 6,000 VND.
