On the evening of September 3, the forces participating in A80 returned to Ho Chi Minh City after more than 3 months of performing their mission in Hanoi . Many relatives, friends and colleagues were present at Terminal T3, Tan Son Nhat Airport to welcome the soldiers. Leaders of Military Region 7 and Ho Chi Minh City were also present to welcome and present flowers to congratulate the soldiers who had just returned.

Ms. Ho Thi Ut (Ba Diem Commune, Ho Chi Minh City) has a daughter, Nguyen Thi Cam Tu, who participated in the parade of the Southern Female Guerrilla Bloc. Ms. Ut said that she has not seen her daughter for more than 3 months. Although they talk on the phone every day, she still misses her daughter very much.
"I am very excited and looking forward to seeing my daughter again. Yesterday, watching my daughter march on TV made me feel so proud and honored," Mrs. Ut expressed.

Soldier Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy (participating in the Female Special Forces) was overwhelmed with emotion when she first arrived in Ho Chi Minh City. Ms. Thu Thuy said that 8 months have passed since she completed missions A50 and A80, and she has not seen her mother again. "My biggest wish right now is to return home soon to see my mother again" - she confided.
"As a child from the South going to the North, being able to march across Ba Dinh Square, passing by Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, and walking in the arms of the people of the capital Hanoi is an honor, a pride and also the most beautiful memories in my life" - Ms. Thuy was moved.
The female soldier also said she was very surprised and happy at the warm welcome from many people. "I feel like a child returning home after many months away. I am so touched by the great welcome and encouragement from everyone" - Ms. Thuy confided.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen ( Lam Dong province) has 2 daughters who participated in the A80 mission, soldiers Nguyen Ngoc Thao Uyen and Nguyen Ngoc Thao Van. Ms. Huyen has been in Ho Chi Minh City since yesterday to welcome her 2 daughters back.
"The moment I saw my two daughters walking across Ba Dinh Square, I was very proud. The day they left for Hanoi to carry out their mission, I was also very worried. I am happy because my two daughters have completed their mission excellently and are growing up every day" - Ms. Huyen confided.
