According to the plan, Brigade 406, Military Region 2, will conduct a "three-shot" test for new recruits in 2026 from May 25th to 27th. On the first day of the test, new recruits of Brigade 406 practiced firing AK submachine guns (exercise 1).

During the inspection process, the new recruits strictly followed the commander's orders, mastered the necessary movements, skillfully used weapons and equipment, maintained a calm and confident demeanor, and successfully completed the shooting exercises. Many achieved good or excellent shooting results.

Colonel Dao Ngoc Phuong and the commander of Brigade 406 encouraged the new recruits before they practiced live firing.

New recruits of Brigade 406 confidently practice live firing.

According to the commander of Brigade 406, to ensure new recruits achieve high results in the "three explosions" test, the unit has done a good job of preparing the training grounds, practice areas, materials, weapons, and technical equipment. Particular emphasis has been placed on officer training, unifying the organization and methods of conducting the test. The officers directly involved in training regularly monitor the training grounds, closely observe the troops, and patiently correct each movement for the new recruits; closely combining technical training with psychological training and building the courage of the troops before the use of live ammunition and explosives.

For the AK submachine gun shooting exercise 1, Brigade 406 organized segmented and combined firing practice for its soldiers to familiarize themselves with the sound of the gunfire, build confidence, and develop a strong mentality before the official test.

Colonel Dao Ngoc Phuong and the commander of Brigade 406 presented flowers to the new recruits who achieved high shooting results.

To ensure the inspection yields high results and guarantees safety, Colonel Dao Ngoc Phuong instructed Brigade 406 to maintain strict discipline on the training ground, ensuring absolute safety of personnel and equipment; flexibly adjust the inspection time to suit hot weather conditions to ensure the health of the troops and improve the results of live firing, explosives handling, and grenade throwing. In addition, Brigade 406 needs to proactively prevent heatstroke and sunstroke among the troops; during the inspection, measures should be taken to promptly reward and encourage new recruits with good inspection results, thereby creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere to encourage the troops to actively strive to complete their tasks well.
