In the article "Vietnam is one, the Vietnamese people are one", General Secretary To Lam emphasized: "We cannot rewrite history, but we can replan the future. The past is to remember, to be grateful for and to learn lessons from. The future is to build, construct and develop together. That is the honorable promise of today's generation to those who have fallen, the common wish of a nation that has experienced much pain but has never been defeated".
In the context of the world facing many complex changes, the task of building and defending the Fatherland is increasingly posing new challenges. To successfully carry out these two strategic tasks, it is extremely important to flexibly and creatively apply the valuable lessons from the Dien Bien Phu campaign. Moreover, it is necessary to arouse and multiply patriotism and national pride in the hearts of every young Vietnamese person.
At the same time, each young person should strive to study, practice, improve their professional qualifications, master science and technology to contribute to building an increasingly rich and prosperous country. Promote the spirit of solidarity, creativity, dare to think, dare to do, and take the lead in all areas of social life.
The 71st anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory arouses in every Vietnamese citizen, especially the young generation, a flame of enthusiasm, a sense of responsibility and a will to rise up. In the era of globalization and the 4.0 technology revolution, the responsibility of the young generation is the fight for knowledge, for sustainable development and the preservation of national sovereignty in a volatile world.
As General Secretary To Lam affirmed: "More than anyone else, today's generation understands that independence and unification are not the final destination, but the starting point for a new journey: the journey to build a peaceful, prosperous, civilized, developed and everlasting Vietnam. If the previous generation has engraved in mind the truth 'Vietnam is one, the Vietnamese people are one' through sacrifices and losses, then today's generation must turn that ideal into a driving force for development, into wings to rise up in the new era...".
