On December 3-4, the Danang Hospital auditorium became more special than usual. No longer a place for meetings or seminars, the space was transformed into a "cinema" for hundreds of patients, relatives and medical staff to watch the movie Red Rain for free.

A seemingly small activity but made many viewers silent, because they temporarily forgot their worries in the hospital, they were immersed in the historical and artistic atmosphere in a very warm and humane way.
Thanh Nien noted that at hall A, although the movie was not shown until 11 o'clock, many people were already there early to wait. Doctors and nurses took advantage of their breaks, patients in wheelchairs, old people with canes and children being treated were also eager to be taken to see the movie by their parents. The rows of seats quickly filled up, the familiar quiet of the hospital gave way to a bustling atmosphere, full of anticipation... for the movie to show.

Many patients, medical staff and their families were able to watch the movie Red Rain for free.
"Most of my teammates sacrificed..."
Sitting in the front row watching every second of Red Rain , Mr. Vu Van Thanh (76 years old), who was a supply soldier at Regiment 9, Division 304 in the 81-day and night battle to protect Quang Tri Citadel , continuously wiped away tears.
“When I mention the Quang Tri Citadel battlefield, I can’t help but get emotional. Almost everyone in my unit was killed, only two people survived. When I watched this film, I remembered each of my fallen comrades…”, Mr. Thanh choked up.

The people around were silent when they heard the story of the living witness telling more about the fierceness of war, the great sacrifice to regain peace. Then the audience felt more deeply each frame of Red Rain on the screen.

For Mr. Huynh Ba Ky, former teacher at Le Quy Don High School (Tam Ky Ward), the experience of watching movies at the hospital is extremely meaningful.
"Memories of the war came back. I was taking care of a sick family member, and at times it was very stressful. When I heard there was a free screening, I was very happy. I watched it to relax, and also to remember the brave spirit of our army and people," Mr. Ky confided.
According to the leaders of Da Nang Hospital, due to the fact that many patients and their relatives do not have the conditions to go to the cinema, and the medical staff is always busy, the Board of Directors of Da Nang Hospital decided to bring cinema to the hospital.
"The large hall is used to create a space to help people temporarily put aside their pain and live fully with historical footage," informed the leader of Da Nang Hospital.

“Medical staff rarely have time to go to the cinema. Thanks to the care of the hospital and the Social Work Department, we have the opportunity to watch such an emotional film,” said Ms. Tran Thuy Dieu Thuy, head nurse of the Oncology Department, Da Nang Hospital.
According to records, on the afternoon of December 3rd alone, there were more than 200 attendees. According to the schedule, Da Nang Hospital will organize a free screening of the film Red Rain for patients and medical staff... until the end of December 4th.
