U.22 Myanmar and U.22 Cambodia are the main rivals in the race for the second ticket to the semi-finals of the 32nd SEA Games. Therefore, the match between the two teams on the evening of May 7 is decisive.
During the 90 minutes, coach Keisuke Honda's team could not penetrate the net of U.22 Myanmar even once. Not only that, U.22 Cambodia received 2 goals in the first half.
The 0-2 defeat means that the door to the semi-finals is almost closed for U.22 Cambodia. After 3 matches, U.22 Cambodia only has 4 points and in the final match they have to face the strong candidate for the gold medal, U.22 Indonesia, the team that is currently at the top of the table with 9 points.

Showing my sense of responsibility, I hereby announce my resignation as President of the Cambodian Football Federation.
I would like to thank the Minister ofEducation , Youth and Sports of Cambodia and all of you who have supported me to continue as President of the Football Federation of Cambodia. However, I am sorry that I could not bring honor to the country through the match in the event organized by Cambodia. Cambodia U.22 has prepared very carefully for the 32nd SEA Games. They hope that the 32nd SEA Games will be the first time that the country's football team can win a medal at the largest sports event in Southeast Asia. Therefore, having only 4 points after 3 matches has disappointed the country's fans. Before deciding to resign, after the 1-1 draw between Cambodia U.22 and the Philippines U.22, Mr. Sao Sokha also announced that he would resign if Cambodia U.22 could not reach the semi-finals of the 32nd SEA Games.
