Quang Ngai: Warm opening ceremony of the new school year at Vo Hong Son Center

On the opening day of the new school year, Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities (Quang Ngai) received more than 1.2 billion VND and many gifts from businesses and philanthropists, adding confidence to the journey of sowing knowledge.

On the morning of August 23, Vo Hong Son Center for Education of Disabled Children (Nghia Hanh Commune, Quang Ngai ) bustlingly held the opening ceremony of the new school year 2025 - 2026, opening the journey of sowing knowledge and adding strength to more than 100 students here.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. U Huan, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai Province; representatives of departments and branches; Quang Ngai Association in Ho Chi Minh City, along with many businesses and philanthropists.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new school year, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Director of the Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities, choked up as she expressed her gratitude to the local authorities and philanthropists who have stood by her side throughout the difficult but loving journey.

Ms. Ha also emotionally mentioned the team of teachers and staff, who day and night silently put their whole heart into every lesson, meal, and sleep of the less fortunate children.

"This school year, the center will continue to teach literacy and vocational training, focusing especially on digital transformation and applying technology to create a more friendly and effective learning environment. We hope that each student will have the opportunity to develop themselves and integrate into the community," Ms. Ha shared.

Vo Hong Son Center for the Education of Disabled Children currently has 110 students, studying at two facilities in Quang Ngai and Ho Chi Minh City. From primary school, the children are guided to study culture, then learn a trade, and study advanced to have the opportunity to establish themselves and make a career.

On the opening day of this year, the joy was multiplied when the center received more than 1.2 billion VND and many gifts from businesses and philanthropists. These gifts not only have material value but also are a great source of spiritual encouragement, giving teachers and students here more strength to step firmly into the new school year.

The 2024-2025 school year of Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities ended with many proud achievements: 85% of students successfully completed their study program; 18 students have integrated into the community; 10 students have found stable jobs. Notably, 3 students were specially admitted directly to Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts.

Behind those numbers are countless sweat, tears and never-ending faith. For teachers, the greatest happiness is to see students grow up day by day, confidently step into life, and shine in their own way.
