Recently, Ms. Dinh Thi Hoa - Former Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Thien Viet Securities JSC (HoSE: TVS) reported the successful purchase of 5,865,236 TVS shares by agreement as registered.
The transaction is expected to take place from August 21 to August 29. After the transaction, Ms. Hoa increased her ownership at TVS from more than 7.5 million shares, equivalent to 4.97%, to nearly 13.4 million shares, equivalent to 8.84%, and officially became a major shareholder here.
According to research, from August 21 to 29, 2023, the market recorded nearly 5.9 million TVS shares traded by agreement in four sessions on August 21, 23, 25 and 29, equivalent to the number of shares Ms. Hoa bought. The total transaction value reached nearly 132 billion VND, equivalent to an average price of 22,450 VND/share.
On the stock market, TVS shares have had quite an impressive increase over the past 2 months and have just set the highest price this year at 25,300 VND/share at the closing of the trading session on July 25.
Ms. Hoa’s move to buy a large amount of shares took place in the context of TVS shares shaking and moving sideways. At the end of the trading session on August 31, TVS shares closed up 1.67% to VND24,400/share.

On August 15, the Board of Directors of Thien Viet Securities announced the decision to dismiss Ms. Dinh Thi Hoa from the position of Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. The decision takes effect from August 15, 2023. However, the reason for the dismissal was not specifically announced. Ms. Hoa will continue to hold the position of Member of the Board of Directors of the company.
Ms. Dinh Thi Hoa is one of the founders of Thien Viet Securities and Galaxy Group. In addition, she is also a member of the Board of Directors of Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB ).
Previously, TVS appointed Mr. Pham Hong Hai as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company from August 1. Before his appointment, Mr. Hai was a member of the Board of Directors of Thien Viet Securities and did not hold any shares. With the dismissal of Ms. Dinh Thi Hoa, TVS now has two Vice Chairmen of the Board of Directors, Mr. Pham Hong Hai and Mr. Terence Ting .
