On May 18th, in Vinh City, Nghe An Province, the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Ministry of Public Security , the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee jointly organized a national scientific conference: “President Ho Chi Minh – A sublime symbol of the will and aspirations for national independence, freedom, and happiness for the people.”
Attending and chairing the seminar were: Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Political Bureau, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Party Committee of Public Security, Minister of Public Security; Dr. Pham Tat Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; Professor, Dr. Le Van Loi - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; representatives from central committees, ministries, and agencies; and scientists from the central and local levels.
Affirming the enduring vitality of Ho Chi Minh 's legacy.
In his opening remarks at the seminar, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Political Bureau, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh – a national liberation hero, an outstanding cultural figure, a brilliant leader, and a great teacher of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution – paved the way and guided our nation on its journey of struggle for national independence and freedom, and for the happiness of the people.
He is the shining embodiment of Vietnamese patriotism, of the will and aspiration that "nothing is more precious than independence and freedom"; the crystallization of the beauty of the intellect, dignity, courage, and conscience of the nation and the era; a noble symbol that endlessly inspires peoples around the world who always yearn for freedom, justice, and peace.
By creatively applying and developing Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style in every step and strategic decision, our Party has led the comprehensive and synchronized acceleration of the reform, development, and deep international integration process, achieving great achievements of historical significance.
“Commemorating the 135th anniversary of the birth of the great President Ho Chi Minh, today's seminar is an opportunity for us to continue to honor and deeply internalize Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style – an invaluable legacy of the Vietnamese nation and revolution – in the cause of building and developing the country and defending the Fatherland,” Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized.
In his welcoming remarks, the Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Duc Trung, stated: "The seminar contributes to affirming, raising awareness, spreading, and further promoting the values of President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, will, and noble aspirations in the new revolutionary era."
Many valuable theoretical insights and rich practical experiences from the presentations of scientific researchers and management leaders will serve as an important basis for all levels, sectors, and localities to develop strategies, resolutions, programs, and policies for the new term and the long term.
For Nghe An province, the provincial leadership has determined that it will promptly absorb and apply the theoretical and practical values from the Conference in successfully implementing the Politburo's Resolutions, especially the key Resolutions including: Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on international integration in the new situation; Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW on reforming the work of building and enforcing laws to meet the requirements of national development in the new era; Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on the development of the private economy; Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province until 2030, with a vision to 2045; and the conclusions of General Secretary To Lam at the working session with the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on May 15th to build the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress. Develop an action plan to achieve the goal of becoming a "prosperous province," and rise to become a model of modern local development in the new era.
This is also the most vivid and practical way for Nghe An province and its units and localities to thoroughly understand, creatively apply, and maximize the will and aspirations for national independence, freedom, and happiness for the people according to Ho Chi Minh's thought in the new era - the era of the aspiration for national strength and independence, and the prosperity and happiness of the people.
Promoting the legacy of Ho Chi Minh
Concluding the conference, General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Party Committee of Public Security, and Minister of Public Security, emphasized: The conference received 90 scientific papers and presentations, and at the conference itself, 10 presentations were given by leaders of central and local departments, ministries, and agencies, practitioners, scientists, and generals of the People's Armed Forces. These presentations were very heartfelt, analyzing and evaluating the glorious life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, honoring his great contributions to realizing the nation's aspirations for independence, freedom, and happiness for the people; affirming the stature, value, and enduring vitality of Ho Chi Minh's legacy for Vietnam and the world; and suggesting many issues for continuing to apply and creatively develop his thought in the new era of the nation.
The discussions at the conference focused on clarifying the issue of Vietnam's development during the Ho Chi Minh era – the most glorious period in the nation's history – as a vivid testament. Today's conference also unanimously agreed that the will and aspiration for national independence and the people's freedom and happiness were the red thread running through the glorious, arduous, and incredibly noble, pure, and beautiful life of President Ho Chi Minh, inspiring the young Nguyen Tat Thanh to resolutely leave to find a way to save the country; encountering the guiding light of Marxism-Leninism and finding the path of the proletarian revolution to save the country and liberate the nation.
The discussions also affirmed that Ho Chi Minh's will and aspirations, and his immense contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, continue to be a great source of inspiration and motivation; fostering in the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army a strong desire and determination to build a country that is "more decent and more beautiful," "on par with the great powers of the world," and "making a worthy contribution to the world revolutionary cause."
Building upon Ho Chi Minh's legacy, his will, and his aspirations, under the wise and skillful leadership of the Party, the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army will certainly overcome all difficulties and challenges, create new miracles, successfully achieve the strategic goals of the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding and the 100th anniversary of the nation's founding, and lead the country into a new era, an era of national progress.
General Luong Tam Quang also requested that agencies and units actively exploit and utilize the results of the seminar in the process of studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh.
Along with that, we must spread, nurture, cultivate, and strongly promote the will and aspirations of Ho Chi Minh among all strata of the people and the armed forces, concretizing them through specific actions and deeds in building an increasingly prosperous and happy country.
