This is a practical activity of the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025); 50 years of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); 135 years of the birth of beloved Uncle Ho (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025); 80 years of the founding of the country (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Speaking at the book launch, Director of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum Nguyen Anh Minh emphasized that for Vietnamese artists, President Ho is a great teacher, a genius artist who inspired and gathered the vast majority of the masses around him. President Ho's passion for the country, love for people, love for life and the light of wisdom have illuminated and encouraged artists to move forward, forever following his path, continuing his great career.
With love and respect, Vietnamese artists have continuously painted and sculpted portraits of Uncle Ho, especially before and after his passing. Creating paintings and statues of Ho Chi Minh also serves the purpose of propagating to the people in the country and around the world to know and understand the Vietnamese revolution.

The book “Ho Chi Minh in the visual arts” published by the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in collaboration with The Gioi Publishing House introduces to the public 135 works by 100 authors. The works are selected from the collection of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, including many genres, such as painting (oil, lacquer, silk); graphics (engravings, propaganda paintings) and sculpture (reliefs, round statues). In addition, there are also embroidered paintings and statues by folk artists.
The book consists of 2 parts. Part 1 "President Ho Chi Minh - Inspiration for visual artists" talks about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh; Vietnamese visual arts with President Ho Chi Minh. Part 2 is selected paintings and sculptures of Uncle Ho in the war zone, Uncle Ho with the people, the landscape where he lived and worked; Uncle Ho lives forever in our cause.

Many works show important marks in the life, activities and career of President Ho Chi Minh, such as "Uncle Ho in his youth", "Uncle Ho sought a way to save the country", "President Ho worked at the Northern Palace", "Uncle Ho went on a campaign"...
This is not only a work of remembrance and deep gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the national liberation hero, outstanding cultural celebrity, but also a valuable opportunity for the public at home and abroad to understand more about his great life and career through visual arts.
