Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi received and worked with the Embassy of Denmark

On September 5, a working delegation of the Danish Embassy in Vietnam led by Mr. Nicolai Prytz - Danish Ambassador to Vietnam visited and worked in Vinh Long province.

Receiving and working with the delegation, the leaders of Vinh Long province were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi; and leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

At the reception, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi informed about the socio -economic development results of the province in the first months of the year; introduced the potential and strengths after the merger. In the context of deep integration, Vinh Long province prioritizes cooperation with Danish partners in the fields of green agriculture, renewable energy, education and training, healthcare, health care, logistics and eco-tourism.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi, and leaders of provincial departments and branches received and worked with the working delegation.

In the past time, the cooperation between Vinh Long and Danish partners has not been commensurate with its potential. Therefore, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi hopes that the Ambassador will continue to pay attention and support the province in accessing capital sources to invest in projects, especially projects on enhancing climate change adaptation; continue to support the province in connecting investment promotion, strengthening trade relations between Vinh Long province and localities and partners in Denmark. Potential cooperation contents will be connected and concretized into practical programs and actions. Vinh Long commits to creating all favorable conditions for Danish businesses and investors to come to learn, cooperate and implement projects in the province.

Ambassador Nicolai Prytz emphasized that since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1971, the Vietnam-Denmark relationship has developed strongly, upgraded to a green strategic partnership in 2023. The areas of cooperation have been increasingly expanded and deepened. Regarding Vinh Long province, Ambassador Nicolai Prytz said that he sees potential in cooperation in many fields, especially renewable energy. After today's working session, there will be more information about the province to share with Danish businesses and investors, in order to learn about investment cooperation opportunities in the province in the coming time.
