According to the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province, the project was approved by the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction ) with a total investment of 441 billion VND, to be implemented in the period 2023-2025. To date, the route through Mimosa pass, about 10.4 km long, has been completed; 10/11 bridges have been handed over for construction, 9/11 bridges have completed construction.

However, the Dai Nga Bridge – an important part of the project – is still behind schedule, almost "standing still" in recent times.
Previously, in April 2025, SGGP Newspaper reported on the situation of Dai Nga Bridge, about 100m long. Although the bridge and approach road on one side were completed, the bridge head at pier M2 had not been cleared, causing the newly built bridge to not be able to connect traffic.
Currently, in the area of M2 bridgehead (in Bao Lam 2 commune), there are still 5 households that have not agreed to receive compensation, due to the request to review the unit price for site clearance support.
Meanwhile, every day thousands of vehicles still travel through the old Dai Nga bridge, which is narrow and seriously degraded, posing a potential risk to traffic safety.
Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested the investor to closely coordinate with local authorities to speed up compensation and site clearance work, soon complete Dai Nga Bridge and the entire National Highway 20 through the area, ensuring progress, quality and safety for people.
