Ho Chi Minh City launched a campaign to support people affected by storm No. 10.

On the afternoon of October 6, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee held a ceremony to launch a campaign and receive voluntary contributions to support people in the Northern and North Central provinces affected by storm No. 10.

In recent days, people in the Northern and North Central regions have suffered heavy losses caused by storm No. 10. Hundreds of thousands of families have lost their homes and properties, many traffic works and schools have collapsed, damaged, flooded... and are in dire need of resources and the cooperation of many forces to overcome the situation.

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and promoting the precious tradition of solidarity of our nation, with the spirit of "mutual love", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City calls on people, agencies, organizations and businesses in the area to share and help spiritually and materially, contributing to supporting people to overcome the damage caused by storms and floods.

According to a press release from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, as of October 4, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City had received 1,543 donations with a total amount of more than 42.4 billion VND.

In order to provide timely support to the people, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has spent more than 47.2 billion VND in support. Of which, 56 households affected by storms and tornadoes in Ho Chi Minh City were supported (5 million VND per household, worth 280 million VND).

At the same time, transfer support funds to people affected by rain and floods in Nghe An province in the first and second phases (8 billion VND), Dong Thap (1 billion VND), Dien Bien (2.5 billion VND), Son La (2.5 billion VND), Ha Tinh in the first phase (5 billion VND), Nghe An in the third phase (7 billion VND), Ha Tinh in the second phase (10 billion VND), Quang Tri (5 billion VND), Ninh Binh (2 billion VND), Thanh Hoa (2 billion VND) and Hung Yen (2 billion VND).

The Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee visited, encouraged and supported people directly affected by storms in the Northern and North Central provinces on September 19, September 20 and October 6.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City launched a campaign to mobilize and receive voluntary contributions to support people in the Northern and North Central provinces affected by storm No. 10.
