On the afternoon of October 6, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee held a ceremony to launch a campaign and receive voluntary contributions to support people in the Northern and North Central provinces affected by storm No. 10.
Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee; Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and leaders of Ho Chi Minh City's departments and branches.

At the launching ceremony, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee received registrations for contributions and support with a total amount of 35.6 billion VND from 181 organizations, agencies, businesses and people from all walks of life who voluntarily supported people affected by storm No. 10.
Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc expressed his deep gratitude to organizations, agencies, units, armed forces, unions, religious organizations, press agencies, artists and people from all walks of life who participated in contributing and supporting people in the Northern and North Central provinces who suffered damage caused by storm No. 10.

With the tradition and spirit of "HCMC for the whole country, with the whole country", comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized that HCMC is ready to share resources to the best of its ability to help people in areas affected by natural disasters and floods.
In particular, Ho Chi Minh City determined that the support must ensure the principle and motto of being the fastest, most timely, and providing the highest possible level of support. The support activities are focused, key, and closely aligned with the actual conditions and needs of people in the affected areas.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City calls on people, agencies, organizations, businesses, religious organizations, ethnic minority communities and all walks of life to share and provide spiritual support, contributing to supporting compatriots to overcome damage caused by storms and floods.
At the same time, encourage cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, and people receiving salaries from the state budget working in Ho Chi Minh City to each contribute at least one day's salary.

From now until November 30, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City - Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee will organize the reception, management and distribution of voluntary contributions from the people, supporting compatriots affected by natural disasters caused by storms and floods.
At the same time, reception points were established in 168 communes, wards, and special zones to make it easier for people, agencies, organizations, individuals, and the business community to participate in making contributions.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City will immediately transfer the contributions of the city's people, cadres and soldiers to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the northern and north central provinces and cities to support people as quickly and promptly as possible.
Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc requested that Party committees and organizations lead and direct the local government and the entire political system to participate most actively and effectively in mobilizing contributions and support.
The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of 168 communes, wards and special zones to seriously publicize reception points to all classes of people and organize public, transparent and timely reception in accordance with the provisions of law.
At the same time, it is requested that the press agencies of Ho Chi Minh City continue to accompany and spread articles with messages of solidarity, contributing to help and support people in areas affected by storms and floods, and social and charitable activities behind the newspaper to help people in areas affected by natural disasters.

Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Phuoc Loc expressed his belief that with the special feelings of the city's cadres, party members, civil servants, workers and people of all walks of life, this timely support will not only be a material and spiritual sharing at the present time but also create positive impacts on the life and future of each family.
