On December 1, at Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang province, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 launched the online round of the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands" in An Giang province.

Attending the launching ceremony were leaders of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province, representatives of school boards and students of 41 secondary schools in An Giang province.

The online contest was held from December 1 to 7 with a rich, attractive and useful system of questions such as: basic knowledge on preventing and combating IUU fishing; preventing and combating drugs and the harmful effects of drugs; school violence; history, local cultural and social traditions...

Nguyen Duong Phuong Nguyen, a student of class 9/7 at Le Quy Don Secondary School, expressed her feelings at the contest launch ceremony.

After the online exam ends, the Organizing Committee will organize a live exam with the participation of 150 students with high results from the schools in the online exam.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Coast Guard Region 4 coordinated with localities to organize 4 contests "I love my homeland's sea and islands" for nearly 59,000 middle school students in the area.

Thereby, contributing to raising awareness, building patriotism, love for the homeland's sea and islands and the consciousness and responsibility of the young generation for the cause of building and protecting sovereignty, maintaining political security, order and safety in the seas and islands of the Fatherland.
