On the morning of June 16, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province had a meeting with Archbishop Joseph Nguyen Chi Linh - Archbishop of Hue Diocese, Apostolic Administrator of Nha Trang Diocese and Bishop Joseph Huynh Van Sy - newly elected Bishop of Nha Trang Diocese.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan informed Archbishop Joseph Nguyen Chi Linh and newly elected Bishop Joseph Huynh Van Sy about the socio -economic development situation of the province. At the same time, he affirmed that in the past time, the Nha Trang Diocese has accompanied the province in guiding and mobilizing parishioners to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, joining hands and contributing to the development of Khanh Hoa province.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan thanked Archbishop Giuse Nguyen Chi Linh for his contributions during his tenure as Apostolic Administrator of Nha Trang Diocese and congratulated newly-elected Bishop Giuse Huynh Van Sy on his appointment as Bishop of Nha Trang Diocese. Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan also expressed his hope that in the coming time, newly-elected Bishop Giuse Huynh Van Sy and other officials and dignitaries will continue to propagate and guide parishioners to stick together and support the province's policies and socio-economic development orientations; actively accompany the locality to bring a peaceful life to Catholics in particular, the people in the province and the whole country in general.

Bishop-elect Giuse Huynh Van Sy thanked the provincial People's Committee for their welcome and affirmed that he will continue to join hands with the locality to guide and encourage Catholics to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies; and encourage Catholics to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to the province's socio-economic development.
