Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan works with TORmem Company

(gialai.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of August 19, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan and representatives of leaders of a number of departments and branches received and worked with Mr. Nguyen An Thao - Founder and CEO of TORmem Company.

Mr. Nguyen An Thao said that TORmem Company is headquartered in San Jose, California, USA, specializing in the semiconductor and artificial intelligence industries.

As a son of Gia Lai, Mr. Nguyen An Thao wishes to cooperate with Quy Nhon University to train high-quality human resources in the fields of semiconductors and artificial intelligence; contributing to the socio -economic development of the locality in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that the Politburo has issued Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. In particular, there is the issue of developing and employing high-quality human resources and talents to meet the requirements of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation development; attracting overseas Vietnamese and highly qualified foreigners to work and live in Vietnam.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan welcomed TORmem Company to explore cooperation in the semiconductor and artificial intelligence industry in the province and said that the enterprise's proposal is completely consistent with the breakthrough orientation of science and technology development of the Government and the province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan suggested that TORmem Company and Quy Nhon University discuss and soon sign a memorandum of understanding for TORmem Company to become a strategic partner, participate in building specialized training programs, participate in training, support equipment, build laboratories, and transfer technology to the school. Thereby, contributing to improving the quality of training, ensuring high-quality human resources for the locality.

The head of the provincial government pledged to accompany, support and connect a number of technology-passionate and capable businesses to cooperate with TORmem Company to research and develop products in the fields of semiconductors and artificial intelligence.
