The owner of Saigon Star International School is being sought by Ho Chi Minh City Police.

Before the public was stirred up by the land seizure and parents' demand to withdraw tuition fees, Ms. Vo Thi Phuong Thao - owner of Saigon Star International School - was also wanted by Ho Chi Minh City Police since January 2024.

Accordingly, before the current public uproar over the issues related to Saigon Star International School, Ms. Vo Thi Phuong Thao (born in 1981, permanent residence at 243 L2 Hai Thuong Lan Ong, Ward 13, District 5) was also being sought by the Criminal Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police for "fraudulent appropriation of property" since January 2024.

According to the wanted notice, Ho Chi Minh City Police requested that anyone who discovers Ms. Thao's whereabouts report to Team 4 of the Criminal Police Department (address 459 Tran Hung Dao, Cau Kho Ward, District 1), meet investigator Vo Thanh Tuan, phone 0764.964.214.

"Until now, Ms. Thao has not contacted us to resolve the matter," said a source from Tuoi Tre Online .

According to the business registration certificate for Saigon Star International Company Limited, registered for the 8th change on December 5, 2024 by the Business Registration Office under the Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City, the legal representative of this company is Ms. Vo Thi Phuong Thao, general director.

Accordingly, Ms. Thao holds 90.9% of the company's capital contribution. The remaining belongs to Mr. Tran Van Thuc, an Australian national, Ms. Thao's husband.

Also according to the above certificate, the head office address was changed to 577 National Highway 13, Ward 5, Hiep Binh Phuoc Ward, Thu Duc City (HCMC).

This is also the new facility address that the school has emailed to inform, replacing the current facility in Thanh My Loi ward, Thu Duc city (HCMC) that will be subject to enforcement.

According to the school's announcement, from December 7, 2024, the school will begin repairing and renovating the current state of the new facility.

From December 14, 2024 to February 12, 2025, the school's activities will be temporarily moved to National Highway 13 and students will begin returning to school on February 12, 2025 at facility No. 577 National Highway 13, Hiep Binh Phuoc Ward, Thu Duc City.

From February 12, 2025 to July 31, 2025, continue to complete legal documents; renovate the current status and expand and build new classrooms, functional rooms and outdoor playgrounds for students...

However, according to many parents, this route is impossible because of the urgent time, while the current status of land plot number 577 National Highway 13, Hiep Binh Phuoc Ward, Thu Duc City is "nothing".

Therefore, many parents are asking the school to refund the tuition fees they have paid but have not received any response from the school.
