The welcoming ceremony for the 2025-2026 school year of Hong Bang International University (HIU) took place on the morning of October 4 with many meaningful activities, attracting thousands of students to attend. The event not only marked the beginning of the new school year, but also demonstrated the school's spirit of integration, humanity and dynamism.
Opening ceremony in an international and humane atmosphere
With the theme "Lead Your Way - Lead Your Future", this year's opening ceremony was held solemnly but no less youthful and inspiring. Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Le Khac Cuong - Vice Principal of the school emphasized the role of the humanistic, internationalized educational model in orienting the future of students "HIU is steadfastly pursuing an internationalized, multicultural and humanistic educational model, where students are comprehensively developed in knowledge, skills and personality to become high-quality human resources for society".
Within the framework of the program, the school commended and rewarded outstanding classes and students of the 2024-2025 school year. Hundreds of students were honored for their efforts in studying and training: 379 students achieved excellent results, 833 students achieved good results, 483 students had excellent training results and 45 students were commended for their active contributions to the student movement.
New valedictorian Le Trac Ky, a student of Dentistry, emotionally shared: “When choosing this major, I told myself that wearing a white blouse is a great honor, but what is more special is becoming a student of HIU - a multidisciplinary, multicultural school, where everyone has their own color in the inspiring picture of youth.”
One of the solemn highlights of the ceremony was the ceremony of handing over the Traditional Flag to 11 new valedictorians representing faculties and institutes in the school. This is not only a symbolic activity, but also conveys the spirit of "Pride - Continuity - Reaching Out" to the new generation of students.
The atmosphere in the hall was quiet during the moment of transition, evoking the sense of responsibility, pride and determination to accompany HIU in the upcoming journey of learning and training. Many students were moved when they were honored for the first time with applause and cheers. Student Festival: Experience, connect and explode with emotions
Not only the solemn ceremony, HIU campus also turned into a colorful festival with many booths of faculties and student clubs. Here, young people experienced exchange activities, impromptu performances, and bonding games to create a vibrant and exciting atmosphere for the new school year.
When the stage lights came on, the HIU concert night became the center of attention, the music was passionate, thousands of students joined in the lively songs. Singer (S) Trong Hieu stirred up the audience with the hit Kho Bau with his liberal style; actress Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc brought charm and closeness. In particular, runner-up Kieu Loan (Lona) now a new medical student at HIU appeared as a multi-talented artist, confidently shining on stage.
Not only a music party, the program also has a deep humanitarian meaning. The Organizing Committee, HIU students and accompanying businesses joined hands to donate to support the people of Central Vietnam affected by storms and floods through the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society. This is an activity that clearly demonstrates the philosophy of education for the community and the humanitarian values that HIU pursues.
Closing with cheers and bright lights, the welcoming ceremony for HIU students 2025–2026 demonstrated the modern, humane and connected spirit that the school aims for in all comprehensive educational activities.
