On the afternoon of October 5, the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen issued Document No. 1272 to the People's Committees of communes and wards; high schools, continuing education centers, vocational training centers; and affiliated secondary schools on proactively responding to floods caused by storm Matmo (storm No. 11).
Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to direct educational institutions under their management; Principals of high schools, Continuing Education Centers, Continuing Vocational Education and Training Centers; and affiliated secondary schools to strictly implement the directives of the central government, localities and the Department of Education and Training on proactively responding to storm Matmo.
The Department of Education and Training requires educational institutions to organize 24/7 on-call duty and maintain regular contact with authorities and local rescue forces to promptly respond to incidents at schools.
Heads of educational institutions, based on the storm and rain situation and local reality, report to the direct superior management agency and proactively let students stay home from school to ensure the safety of life and property of teachers, students, educational administrators and people.
"Absolutely do not be subjective about the storm situation" - The document of the Department of Education and Training clearly stated.
The Hung Yen Department of Education and Training also requested educational institutions to develop plans to clean classrooms and take disease prevention measures to ensure cleanliness and safety before allowing students to return to school and to have plans to make up for lost time during the school break.
