In the Co To special zone, all students at all levels were given a day off on October 6 to avoid wind and rain caused by the storm. According to the leaders of the Co To special zone, this was a proactive preventive measure, implemented from the afternoon of October 5 after receiving warnings of strong winds and large waves directly affecting the island area.

Along with that, some other localities such as Mong Cai 1 and Mong Cai 2 wards also allowed students to temporarily stop going to school.

Many schools in the province have allowed children to return to school this morning.

Ms. Le Thanh Luong, a parent of a child studying at Hoa Lac Secondary School, said: “From 4 p.m. on October 5, the school announced that students would be off school to ensure safety. So we are reassured because we are afraid of dangerous travel during storms. This morning, there was a light rain, but we still let our children stay home because we had been proactive in advance.”

Meanwhile, many schools in areas less affected by the storm continued to teach as usual. At Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary, Secondary and High School (Viet Hung Ward), the school sent a notice to parents about the possibility of temporary closure in case of bad weather. However, because the storm weakened and the rain was only light, classes continued as planned.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh, a parent of a student here, shared: "The school recommended a break from school, but because the weather has stabilized and the school announced that the children can go to school, I decided to let my child go to school as usual."

According to VietNamNet reporters, storm No. 11 weakened into a tropical depression when it entered Quang Ninh , with not too much rain and wind.

Many schools in the province have allowed their children to return to school this morning. However, the provincial education sector still requires schools to closely monitor weather developments to have timely response plans, ensuring the safety of students in all situations.

The proactive decision to let students stay home from school in high-risk areas, while maintaining normal teaching in safe places, demonstrates the flexibility of the Quang Ninh Education sector in the context of unusual weather developments, ensuring both safety and not greatly affecting students' study plans.

Schools in Hai Phong proactively plan for students to stay home to avoid storm No. 11. According to the Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong City, based on the developments of storm No. 11, heads of educational institutions proactively decide to let students stay home from school, adjust schedules and teaching methods appropriately to ensure absolute safety for students and teachers.
