Immediately after the sinkhole appeared, officials and functional forces of Ngoc Long commune came to inspect the actual scene. Thereby, it was determined that the sinkhole was about 100m2 wide, about 10m deep from the surface to the water and the specific depth of the hole was not determined. The sinkhole was about 50m from the residential area and fortunately, the sinkhole occurred after Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang's family had harvested rice.
