On the evening of November 29, at the Youth Square of Dong Van commune, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province held the opening ceremony of the 11th Buckwheat Flower Festival and honored the tourism titles of Tuyen Quang province in 2025.
The 11th Buckwheat Flower Festival aims to promote the beauty of the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark, honor the cultural identity of the ethnic groups living together; and at the same time affirm the determination to make tourism a key economic sector of the province.
This is also an opportunity to introduce tourism brands and expand regional development links after the rearrangement of provincial administrative units.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the Appeal of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province, mobilizing all compatriots, officers, soldiers of the armed forces, business community, organizations, philanthropists, tourists and audiences watching the live program to join hands to support compatriots in the South Central provinces to overcome the consequences of floods.
Donations are made by scanning the QR code on the LED screen or transferring money to the account of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. This is an activity with profound humanitarian meaning, contributing to helping people in flood-affected areas stabilize their lives and rebuild their homeland.
In her opening speech, Ms. Vuong Ngoc Ha, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province, emphasized that after the administrative boundary merger, Tuyen Quang has become a land rich in potential, with an important regional connectivity position, creating conditions to expand the space for economic, cultural and tourism development.
The province possesses many special values such as: Lung Cu Flagpole - the headland of the Fatherland, "Capital of the Liberated Zone - Capital of Resistance", along with the system of revolutionary "red addresses" and the rich cultural space of 22 ethnic groups.
By 2025, the province's tourism sector will have won many prestigious awards and titles, contributing to affirming Tuyen Quang's position on the national and international tourism map.
The 1st Congress of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, identified the goal of "Developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector", promoting heritage economy, creating livelihoods for people, developing cultural industry based on heritage values and creativity.
The province is synchronously implementing solutions, receiving high consensus from the Party Committee, government and people.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province expressed his hope that the province will continue to receive support from the Government, ministries, branches, the companionship of localities, businesses and especially the people of all ethnic groups in the province for comprehensive development.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the brand of the Buckwheat Flower Festival of Tuyen Quang province and reviewed the typical tourism titles in 2025 that the province was honored to receive.
In particular, the World Tourism Organization recognized Lo Lo Chai Community Tourism Village as "The World's Best Community Tourism Village"; Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark as "Asia's Leading Cultural Destination"; Panhou Tourist Area (Thong Nguyen) received the title "Asia's Leading Green Resort."
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also presented national tourism awards to H'mong Village (best green hotel) and Pa Vi Community Cultural Tourism Village (best community tourism destination).
Right after the ceremony was the art program "Blooming Stone Land" consisting of 3 segments: "Legend of a Flower", "Blooming Stone Land" and "Dating with the Plateau". The audience enjoyed special performances imbued with the culture of the ethnic groups of the Dong Van Stone Plateau and the rich land of Tuyen Quang such as "Dong Van's Heartbreak", "Hello Tuyen Quang", and many elaborately staged performances: "Legend of a Flower", "Buckwheat Flower Season", "Stone Plateau Love Song".
The program depicts the legendary beauty of buckwheat flowers, the brilliant colors of the changing rocky region and the aspirations of the people of Tuyen Quang, expressed through the songs: "Highland Market", "That's How Highland People Are", "Tuyen Quang Reaches Heights."
This year's festival continues to have many attractive activities lasting until the end of December 2025 at stops and community cultural tourism villages in the communes of the Stone Plateau, promising to bring visitors new and memorable experiences.../.
