Thorough preparations are underway for the commemoration of the 120th anniversary of the birth of General Secretary Tran Phu.

Tran The Dung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that preparations for the 120th anniversary of Comrade Tran Phu's birth must be made early, ensuring timely progress and quality as required.

On the afternoon of January 10th, Tran The Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Standing Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee for the 120th Anniversary of Comrade Tran Phu's Birth, chaired a meeting of the Organizing Committee to implement several tasks for the coming period.

Attendees included Vo Hong Hai, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department; Ha Van Hung, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Tran Nhat Tan, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Commander of the Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command; Colonel Nguyen Hong Phong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Director of the Provincial Police; and Le Ngoc Chau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

According to the report of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department - the Standing Agency of the Organizing Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee has so far issued 7 documents providing leadership and guidance on commemorative activities; at the same time, it has worked with relevant central ministries and agencies and directed the development of a plan to seek approval for the construction, restoration, renovation, upgrading, and expansion of the two historical sites dedicated to the two General Secretaries : Tran Phu and Ha Huy Tap.

Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Nguyen Thi Ha Tan, reported on the progress of implementing the contents leading up to the anniversary celebration.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee also directed localities and units to develop and issue plans for propaganda and organize commemorative activities that are appropriate, practical, and effective, linked to the implementation of the political tasks of the locality and unit. To date, all 17 districts, towns, cities, and subordinate Party committees have issued propaganda plans and organized commemorative activities.

Secretary of the Duc Tho District Party Committee, Nguyen Thanh Dong, sought opinions on several local activities to be implemented in the coming period.

Duc Tho District – the hometown of Comrade Tran Phu – has launched a “120-day intensive emulation campaign”; organized a competition to learn about the life and revolutionary career of General Secretary Tran Phu; and coordinated the launch of a campaign to create and promote literary and artistic works. The district is also mobilizing resources to build houses for families of war veterans, poor households, and other social welfare activities in the area.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau offered suggestions on the series of commemorative activities.

Regarding the main activities for the 120th anniversary of Comrade Tran Phu's birth, scheduled to take place at the end of April 2024, they include a flower and incense offering ceremony and a report on achievements at the Tran Phu Memorial Site; a scientific conference; a commemorative ceremony; and an art program to celebrate the anniversary.

At the meeting, delegates discussed the assignment of tasks for organizing the series of activities for the anniversary celebration; provided detailed opinions on the venues for the activities, artistic programs, publicity for the anniversary celebration, specific contents of the celebration, scientific seminars, documentaries, and the implementation of emulation movements...

Concluding the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung emphasized the significance and importance of organizing a series of activities to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Tran Phu - the first General Secretary of the Party. Accordingly, the preparation work must be thorough and meticulous to create a widespread impact regarding the image of the homeland and the people of General Secretary Tran Phu.

The Ha Tinh Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station should proactively open special sections to publicize Comrade Tran Phu in their publications; the Department of Education and Training should coordinate with Duc Tho district to organize a competition to learn about Comrade Tran Phu...

For epic programs, art exhibitions, and scientific conferences, it is essential to ensure that both the historical accuracy and contemporary relevance of the characters are preserved.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also gave detailed opinions on the proposed date, necessary conditions, and logistics; while emphasizing that all tasks must be prepared early, ensuring progress and quality as required. Localities throughout the province in general, and Ha Tinh City and Duc Tho District in particular, need to pay attention to the beautification of infrastructure and landscapes to welcome the major event.
