DIFF 2025 Final: Waiting for a world-class performance

Z121's "Message of Peace "

Attending DIFF 2025 for the first time, Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam) excelled over the "heavyweight" teams to compete in the final night.

According to Colonel Tran Thanh Son, Team Leader of Z121 Vina Pyrotech, the whole team is very excited because they received support from the audience and high praise from the judges in the qualifying round. But that is also pressure, the whole team will have to work twice as hard in the final night to live up to everyone's expectations.

“We only had one week to prepare, from choosing music, coming up with ideas, choosing fireworks… However, as our ancestors said, “necessity is the mother of invention”, we found a solution and carried out the plan with the highest determination”, Colonel Tran Thanh Son shared.

Using about 7,000 fireworks, the Ministry of National Defense’s fireworks team performed the work “Message of Peace” consisting of 4 fireworks chapters with 4 different levels of emotions. In which, praising the dynamism, youthfulness, and development of Da Nang in particular and Vietnam in general; arousing national pride; wishing for peace…

If in the qualifying round, the team made the whole audience burst into tears with "Like having Uncle Ho on the day of great victory", then in the final, the Z121 Vina Pyrotech team chose to perform explosive fireworks effects on the background of the song "Aspiration for Peace", a composition that was solemnly performed at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, performed by Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi and Meritorious Artist Lien Huong. The song brings a deep resonance, inspiring a peace-loving Vietnam, constantly striving and ready to integrate with the world .

“Currently, we are entering a new era of development, an era of growth. Therefore, our performance conveys a manifesto of light about the values that Vietnam has always steadfastly pursued: Peace and stability, a sustainable foundation in a world that is constantly changing,” said Colonel Tran Thanh Son.

China surprises by remixing 10 songs

If in the qualifying round, the Chinese team impressed with their typical oriental fireworks display style, closely linked to a single piece of music, then in the final, they suddenly changed direction with a music list spanning 10 songs. This was a bold decision, promising to create an artistic turning point.

With the theme “A Shining Pearl - The City of Tomorrow”, the performance is a tribute to Da Nang, a coastal city that is growing strongly, towards a future of sustainable development and innovation. The Chinese team likened Da Nang to a shining “pearl” in the middle of Asia, a symbol of peace, integration and the aspiration to reach new horizons.

The most curious point is that the Chinese team chose the song “Bac Bling”, a youthful Vietnamese song that is causing a stir on social networks, to perform. This is the first time the Jiangxi Yangfeng fireworks team has included Vietnamese music in their performance, demonstrating their sophistication and openness in approaching local culture. In addition, there are a series of colorful international songs such as “The Final Countdown”, “Legacy of Six”, “Homecoming”, “Promise of Hope”… creating a musical flow that is both vibrant and dreamy, taking the audience from reality to the future, from today’s Da Nang to hopeful visions.

Mr. Liang Weiming, Captain of Jiangxi Yangfeng Team (China) shared: “This is the second time the Chinese team has entered the final night at DIFF. This shows that our performance has won over a large audience. Coming to the competition, we hope to challenge ourselves, aiming for the championship title and that determination is stronger than ever in this final night. However, Team Z121, representing Vietnam, is an opponent that cannot be underestimated. They have surprised us greatly by using high-quality fireworks, good music and skillful techniques to win over the audience and the judges. I believe that both teams will create a sublime final night of DIFF 2025”.

The final night of DIFF 2025 will take place at 8:00 p.m. on July 12, broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television; promising to bring together the pinnacle of art, light and music, closing the longest fireworks season in the history of DIFF, lighting up pride, the desire for peace and connection between nations.

“No matter the result, both teams are winners in the hearts of the audience”

“Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam) and Jiangxi Yangfeng (China) are two teams that have impressed the audience in the qualifying round and will compete in the upcoming final. Regardless of the result, both teams are winners in the hearts of the audience. I wish the two teams will bring the audience an explosive final night, continuing to leave an impression on the people and tourists,” said the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.

The attraction of the stars appearing on the final stage of DIFF 2025

On the evening of July 11, the art program of the final night of DIFF 2025 was rehearsed with the participation of hundreds of artists and directors; promising to bring top-notch musical performances, contributing to creating a truly brilliant ending to the festival season.

The highlight of the final night stage was My Tam, the most influential female singer in the Vietnamese music industry, and also the pride of her hometown Da Nang. This special return is not only a reunion with her hometown audience, but also an opportunity for the “brown-haired nightingale” to shine on the very land that nurtured her passion for art.

Besides My Tam, Tung Duong - Divo of Vietnamese music will also stir up the stage of the final night of DIFF 2025. Returning to the DIFF stage after an explosive performance on the opening night, Tung Duong will continue to dedicate his powerful and profound voice to the Da Nang audience. Another face that many audiences are looking forward to at the final night of DIFF 2025 is the fresh return after a long time working in the US of singer Huong Tram.

In addition, SKY AR virtual reality technology continues to create multi-layered experiences, helping audiences fully immerse themselves in a visual feast between real and digital space.
