DIFF 2025 Finals: Awaiting a world-class performance.

After 10 days of hectic preparation, the two teams, Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam) and Jiangxi Yangfeng (China), are ready to deliver a spectacular and world-class performance at the final night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 tonight (July 12th) with the theme "Welcoming a New Era".

Z121's "Message of Peace "

Despite participating in DIFF 2025 for the first time, Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam) excellently overcame strong teams to compete in the final night.

According to Colonel Tran Thanh Son, Team Leader of Z121 Vina Pyrotech, the entire team was thrilled to receive support from the audience and high praise from the judges in the qualifying round. However, this also puts pressure on them; the whole team will have to double their efforts in the final night to live up to everyone's expectations.

“We only had one week to prepare, from choosing the music and brainstorming ideas to selecting the fireworks… But, as the saying goes, ‘necessity is the mother of invention,’ we found a solution and implemented the plan with the highest determination,” Colonel Tran Thanh Son shared.

Using approximately 7,000 fireworks, the Ministry of Defense's fireworks team presented the work "Message of Peace," consisting of four fireworks acts representing four different emotional states. These acts celebrated the dynamism, youthfulness, and development of Da Nang in particular and Vietnam in general; evoked national pride; and expressed the aspiration for peace…

In the qualifying round, the team brought the entire audience to their feet with "As if President Ho Chi Minh were present on the day of great victory," while in the final, the Z121 Vina Pyrotech team chose to showcase explosive fireworks effects set to the song "Aspiration for Peace," a composition that resonated solemnly at the Vietnam International Defence Exhibition 2024, performed by Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi and Meritorious Artist Lien Huong. The song evokes a profound and inspiring feeling about a Vietnam that cherishes peace, constantly strives for progress, and is ready to integrate with the world .

“Currently, we are entering a new era of development, an era of progress. Therefore, our performance conveys a declaration through light about the values ​​that Vietnam has always steadfastly pursued: Peace and stability, a sustainable foundation in a constantly changing world,” said Colonel Tran Thanh Son.

China surprises with a remix of 10 songs.

While the Chinese team impressed in the qualifying rounds with their distinctive Eastern-style fireworks display, closely tied to a single piece of music, they unexpectedly shifted direction in the finals with a lineup of 10 songs. This was a bold decision, promising to create an artistic turning point.

With the theme “A Shining Pearl - The City of Tomorrow,” the performance was a tribute to Da Nang, a coastal city that is rapidly developing and striving towards a sustainable and innovative future. The Chinese team likened Da Nang to a “shining pearl” in Asia, a symbol of peace, integration, and the aspiration to reach new horizons.

A particularly intriguing aspect was the Chinese team's choice of "Bac Bling," a trendy Vietnamese song currently trending on social media, for their performance. This marks the first time the Jiangxi Yangfeng fireworks team has included Vietnamese music in their show, demonstrating their sophistication and willingness to engage with local culture. Alongside this, a diverse range of international songs such as "The Final Countdown," "Legacy of Six," "Homecoming," and "Promise of Hope" created a vibrant yet dreamy musical flow, transporting the audience from reality to the future, from present-day Da Nang to hopeful visions.

Mr. Liang Weiming, Captain of the Jiangxi Yangfeng team (China), shared: “This is the second time the Chinese team has reached the finals at DIFF. This shows that our performance has captivated a large audience. Coming to the competition, we hope to challenge ourselves, aiming for the championship title, and that determination is stronger than ever in this final night. However, the Z121 team, representing Vietnam, is a formidable opponent. They surprised us immensely with their use of high-quality fireworks, excellent music, and skillful techniques to win over the audience and judges. I believe that both teams will create a spectacular final night at DIFF 2025.”

The DIFF 2025 final night will take place at 8 PM on July 12th, broadcast live on VTV1 of Vietnam Television; promising to be a pinnacle of art, light, and music, concluding the longest fireworks season in DIFF history, igniting pride, aspirations for peace, and connection among nations.

On the evening of July 11th, the final night's art program of DIFF 2025 was rehearsed with the participation of hundreds of artists and directors; promising to deliver top-notch musical performances, contributing to a truly spectacular conclusion to the festival season.

The centerpiece of the final night's stage was My Tam, the most influential female singer in Vietnamese music and also the pride of her hometown, Da Nang. This special return was not only a reunion with her hometown audience, but also an opportunity for the "brown-haired nightingale" to shine in the very land that nurtured her passion for art.

Besides My Tam, Tung Duong – the divo of Vietnamese music – will also rock the stage at the DIFF 2025 final. Returning to the DIFF stage after his explosive performance at the opening night, Tung Duong will continue to treat the Da Nang audience to his powerful and profound voice. Another highly anticipated performer at the DIFF 2025 final is the fresh return of singer Huong Tram after a long period of activity in the US.
