Through on-site surveys, the working group assessed that the Uncle Ba Phi Memorial Area is a destination with unique cultural characteristics and potential for tourism development. However, previously invested facilities have deteriorated, and the local authorities have yet to build comprehensive infrastructure and facilities to transform it into a space for folk cultural activities, thus failing to fully utilize the value of the historical site.
The delegation listened to the wishes of the family members of folk artist Nguyen Long Phi.
Ms. Tran Thi Huynh Dao, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council, emphasized: "The memorial site is a distinctive cultural space of the province. In the future, the locality needs to pay special attention to preservation and develop a plan for rational exploitation, so that this place becomes a cultural tourism destination, connecting with ecological tourism destinations in the region."

Located on the southern bank of the Song Doc estuary (Song Doc commune), the National Historical Site of the Assembly Point for the Departure to the North in late 1954 and early 1955 stands out with its monument commemorating the ship sailing through the waves towards the North, inaugurated at the end of 2024. This place is not only a tourist attraction but also a significant site for educating the younger generation about revolutionary traditions and patriotism.

Working with the People's Committee of Song Doc commune, the provincial People's Council delegation highly appreciated the potential of the historical site in tourism development, especially in exploiting history-learning tours combined with local cultural activities.
The working group of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a meeting with the People's Committee of Song Doc commune after conducting a field survey.
To maximize the value of this national historical site, the Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee, Tran Thi Huynh Dao, requested that the locality focus on exploitation in conjunction with preservation; strengthen coordination with the Education sector and schools to organize activities to connect with the historical site, and conduct visual propaganda for students to spread the historical and cultural value of the site; and at the same time, develop suitable tours and routes to create attraction for the destination.
