The three forces (Police, Military, and Border Guard) coordinate their efforts in patrolling the border line.
At sea, Border Guard Squadron 2 (under the Ca Mau Border Guard Command) also intensified patrol activities, both to strengthen the fight against various types of crime and to carry out a high-intensity campaign against illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
Major Dang Van Vu, Political Officer of Border Guard Squadron 2, reported: “From the beginning of 2026 until now, the unit has proactively developed 8 plans, mobilized 8 patrol teams with 16 vessels and 70 officers to participate in patrols and control at sea. The focus is on the peak period of combating crime, drug trafficking, human trafficking, smuggling and commercial fraud in the maritime border area during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year). At the same time, we maintain constant communication with fishermen to promptly inform them of weather conditions and are ready for rescue operations. As a result, from the beginning of the year until now, through patrols, the unit has detected and handled 5 administrative violations involving 5 vessels, collecting 20 million VND for the state budget.”
Coordination to maintain security along the entire route.
In addition to independent patrols and controls along the entire border of the province, border guard posts also coordinate with local armed forces such as the police and military to ensure security and order along the entire border. Accordingly, patrols and controls are maintained regularly, and the fight against various types of crime is effectively promoted. Particularly, territorial management and monitoring of individuals are enhanced, improving the effectiveness of surveillance of people and vehicles entering and leaving the border area, proactively identifying risks "early and from afar" to promptly detect and handle violations of laws and regulations protecting the area.

Major Tu Tuan Anh, Deputy Head of Song Doc Commune Police, shared: “In 2026, the three forces (Police, Military, and Border Guard) closely coordinated in gathering and sharing information on the local situation and strengthening border patrols and control. We promptly detected and strictly managed individuals under professional and legal supervision. In addition, the forces also coordinated to ensure the absolute safety of key construction projects as well as major national and local holidays and anniversaries, contributing to ensuring security and order along the entire border.”

Maintaining effective coordinated patrols not only contributes to safeguarding security and order and political stability in the coastal border region, but also serves as a solid foundation for promoting local socio-economic development. Especially during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), coordinated patrols to protect the area are always implemented rigorously. This acts as a "steel shield" protecting security and order along the entire border, providing a foundation for peace and development in the Ca Mau border region.
