Special Film Program "Cartoons for Children" October 2025
The program is organized by the Vietnam Film Institute in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library - Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports. This is a regular activity to exploit and promote the value of the rich animated film archive stored by the Vietnam Film Institute, and at the same time bring cinema closer to the spiritual life of children.
With the aim of exploiting, popularizing and promoting the cultural value of animated films archived at the Vietnam Film Institute, and at the same time creating a healthy cinema playground, the program not only serves the entertainment needs but also contributes to aesthetic orientation, nurturing emotions and artistic perception skills for children. This is one of the typical activities demonstrating the interest of the cultural sector in caring for the spiritual life and nurturing the souls of the young generation.
The highlight of the October 2025 program is the screening of the classic animated film "The Legend of the Mid-Autumn Lantern Procession" - a work that recreates the folk story about the origin of the Mid-Autumn Lantern Procession custom, bringing a humane message about friendship, forgiveness and belief in goodness.
Besides the film screening, the children participated in community games, interacted and shared their feelings with the program coordinator - Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Trang, participated in the interactive activity "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival" and received souvenirs.
The event is a vivid demonstration of the effectiveness of combining education and entertainment through the art of cinema. Through animated stories rich in humanity, children not only have fun but also nurture the spirit of patriotism and attachment to national culture.
Held at S.Hub Kids – a modern, child-friendly venue – the program brought moments of relaxation, learning and memorable experiences, contributing to building healthy habits of enjoying cinema art in the children's community of Ho Chi Minh City./.
