Positive changes in traffic culture.

Previously, during peak hours in the central area of Thai Nguyen province, traffic management and the movement of people were difficult due to the large volume of people and vehicles. However, recently, the traffic situation in this area has seen many positive changes.

At the central roundabout in Thai Nguyen, a crucial intersection connecting many major roads such as Hoang Van Thu, Cach Mang Thang Tam, and Bac Kan , traffic volume is high, especially during peak hours in the morning and afternoon. Previously, many drivers tended to overtake and encroach on other lanes, causing frequent localized traffic congestion in this area.

However, recently, that image has changed. Vehicles now follow lane markings, adhere to rules when navigating roundabouts, and yield to each other at intersections. Nguyen Van Tung, a resident of Group 1, Linh Son Ward, who frequently travels through this area in the mornings, shared: "Previously, traffic was crowded and honking was incessant. Now, with traffic police regulating traffic, everyone drives slower and follows the rules more carefully, making it less stressful."

Not only at the central roundabout, but many other intersections such as Dong Quang intersection, Gia Bay bridge, or the intersection of Cach Mang Thang Tam and Dong Luc roads... have also seen similar positive changes. Traffic police have been regularly present during peak hours, directly guiding and directing traffic, ensuring smooth flow.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Quang, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of Thai Nguyen Provincial Police: "We have increased our forces on various routes, regularly stationed at points where traffic conflicts frequently occur, and simultaneously monitoring through camera systems to handle violations remotely. It can be seen that when people are clearly aware of their responsibilities, traffic order has been significantly improved and is flowing smoothly without the need for frequent reminders."

Walking around the streets of Phan Dinh Phung, Gia Sang, Linh Son, and Quan Trieu wards – the central area of Thai Nguyen province – we noticed that behaviors that were once quite common, such as illegal parking and cutting across lanes just to save a few seconds, have significantly decreased. Mr. Duong Van Phu (Group 96, Phan Dinh Phung ward) commented: "People are more orderly. The fact that authorities have equipped the area with surveillance cameras has also made people more自觉 compliant..."

This positive transformation is the result of a synchronized combination of management, enforcement, and building awareness of traffic participation within the community. Every citizen participating in traffic is a "cultural ambassador." Just one correct action – yielding the right of way, staying in the correct lane, obeying traffic signals… – contributes to spreading civilized behavior on the streets. Urban traffic is constantly evolving and giving rise to many new situations, requiring sustained efforts from both sides: authorities and citizens.
