Binh Phuoc FC recruits undefeated record holder: Determined to reach V-League!

Binh Phuoc Club signs contract with coach Viet Thang.

On July 17th, Binh Phuoc Club announced the signing of coach Nguyen Viet Thang. The former Vietnam national team player was appointed to replace coach Huynh Quoc Anh, who will leave Binh Phuoc after the 2024-2025 season.

"From the glamour of the pitch to his coaching style on and off the field, Coach Nguyen Viet Thang, who came to football with both heart and mind, who has inspired many generations of Vietnamese football players, is now the official head coach of the 'Green Warriors'."

"However, Coach Viet Thang didn't come to Binh Phuoc Club to start over, but to upgrade to a better version. As a coach who always sets high standards for every training session, always demands seriousness in the approach to matches but also a passionate spirit, always emphasizes cohesion and maximizing the strength of the team, Coach Viet Thang is a particularly important piece that Binh Phuoc Club needs in its journey to elevate its identity and aim for long-term goals."

Binh Phuoc Club's ambitions

Last season, coach Viet Thang led Ninh Binh FC to the First Division championship with a record of 19 wins and 1 draw. Meanwhile, Binh Phuoc FC finished as runners-up, but in the play-off match, the Southeast representative lost 0-2 to Da Nang FC.

Besides coach Viet Thang, Binh Phuoc Club also recruited Luong Xuan Truong and Tran Minh Vuong to strengthen their squad. Binh Phuoc Club's goal is to be promoted to the V-League.
