After successfully recruiting foreign player Augustine Chidi Kwem (Nigeria), Vietnamese-American player Kyle Colonna and a number of domestic players, Hanoi Club continues to strengthen its force with new player Keziah Veendorp.
The midfielder, born in 1997, played for the Netherlands U.16, U.17 and U.18 teams. At the 2014 European U.17 Championship, Veendorp was given the captain's armband. The Dutch star, along with Donny van De Beek and Stevie Bergwijn, reached the final.
During his career, Veendorp spent most of his time playing for Emmen Club in the Dutch national championship, appearing in 173 matches, scoring 3 goals and providing 10 assists.
Midfielder Veendorp joins Hanoi FC
Last season, the 27-year-old player decided to move to India to play for Benlaguru Club. Joining the capital team, Keziah Veendorp chose the number 3 shirt. Possessing an impressive height of 1.87 m and a modern football mindset, Veendorp is a valuable addition to the midfield of Hanoi Club, playing alongside Do Hung Dung, Nguyen Van Quyet and Nguyen Hai Long.
"I am very excited about my next time playing abroad. I hope to contribute a lot to the team's overall success. Through some friends, I know that Hanoi FC always sets the goal of winning the championship. This is not an easy challenge, but it is the motivation for us to strive every day," Veendorp affirmed.
Hanoi FC did not perform well last season, finishing third in the V-League and second in the National Cup. Coach Le Duc Tuan’s team has recruited many foreign players in recent times, but none of them have lasted more than two seasons.
