PVF-CAND Club has a new head coach.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong has become the new head coach of PVF-CAND Club after the team parted ways with strategist Thach Bao Khanh.

On the morning of November 25th, PVF-CAND Club held a ceremony to announce its new head coach, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, marking a significant step in the team's professional and sustainable development direction.

The ceremony was attended by Major General Le Van - Chairman of PVF-CAND Club, the Board of Directors, coaching staff, and players. The event took place in a solemn atmosphere, demonstrating the team's determination to innovate and its aspiration to excel in the V-League.

Coach Nguyen Thanh Cong, born in 1977 in Nghe An, is the son of former coach Nguyen Thanh Vinh. He has previously coached Saigon FC, Thanh Hoa FC, Quang Nam FC, and Ha Tinh FC . In the most recent season (2024-2025), he led Ha Tinh to a 5th-place finish in the V-League standings.

Coach Nguyen Thanh Cong is known for his disciplined style, emphasizing organization and balance in attack and defense. He focuses on building a cohesive team, proactive defense, and quick transitions between attacking and defensive phases.

Coach Cong's football philosophy and player management style are considered suitable for the young PVF-CAND squad.

Earlier yesterday (November 24), PVF-CAND officially parted ways with coach Thach Bao Khanh after 10 matches with only draws and losses.

Although PVF-CAND is a newcomer to the V-League 2025-2026, their move to change the head coach shows that the team has a definite goal, not simply to avoid relegation.

Coach Nguyen Thanh Cong's debut match will take place on February 1, 2026, when PVF-CAND Club hosts Ho Chi Minh City Police in Round 12 of the V-League.
