Quang Ninh Club awarded 1 billion VND, will soon have more funding sources

By winning the co-championship of the 2025 National Second Division and a ticket to play in the first division next season, Quang Ninh Club was awarded 1 billion VND.

On the evening of June 23, Quang Ninh Football Development Joint Stock Company (the management unit of Quang Ninh Club) held a celebration ceremony to honor the team's achievements in the 2025 season.

With the excellent completion of the promotion mission and winning the co-championship of the 2025 National Second Division, coach Nguyen Van Dan and his team were awarded 1 billion VND in cash by the leadership of Quang Ninh Club.

At the ceremony, representatives of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province presented certificates of merit to Quang Ninh Club and a number of individuals with outstanding contributions. This season, Coach Van Dan continued to maintain an unbeaten streak of 17 matches extending from the 2024 Third Division.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh - Vice Chairwoman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee - shared: "I propose that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province soon complete two projects to develop professional football teams and youth football projects. The youth team will be managed by the Department, the first team will be the source of support for the youth team.

I will arrange a meeting, chaired by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee with the Club and related departments and agencies, in which I will invite the Provincial Business Association to contribute to the team. The goal is that every year in the future we will have a celebration like this."

In addition, Ms. Hanh also requested the leaders of Cam Pha city and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province to soon advise and hand over the stadium and facilities of the old football team to Quang Ninh Club for management.

On the side of Quang Ninh Club, Chairman Ha Tuan Dung expressed his emotion after the efforts of the whole team, especially the comeback in the final match against PVF Center to win first place in Group A.

In the 2025 National Second Division, Quang Ninh Club won 8 matches and drew 2 matches. Established in July 2024, in less than 1 year, Quang Ninh Club was promoted 2 consecutive levels to return to the Vietnamese professional football system. This is not only what Quang Ninh football fans expect but also the joy of the entire Vietnamese professional football system.
