Ho Chi Minh City FC faced Abu Dhabi (UAE) in the quarter-finals of the AFC Women's Champions League. The Vietnamese team played with great effort and a never-give-up spirit, even when their opponents took a 3-0 lead after only the first half. Huynh Nhu and her teammates created a miracle by turning the tide and securing their place in the semi-finals.

The home team faced considerable difficulties against the opposing team's Ghanaian attackers. As early as the third minute, Princella Adubea made a breakthrough and scored the opening goal for Abu Dhabi. In the first half, Ho Chi Minh City FC conceded two more goals.

Entering the second half trailing 0-3, coach Doan Thi Kim Chi's players staged an incredible comeback, scoring five goals in just 30 minutes.

K'Thừa and Chương Thị Kiều scored two goals to narrow the gap, rekindling hope for Ho Chi Minh City FC. Abu Dhabi restored their two-goal lead when Eugenia Tetteh increased the score to 4-2, but the Vietnamese team did not give up. Spectacular long-range shots from Trần Nguyễn Bảo Châu and Ngô Thị Hồng Nhung helped Ho Chi Minh City FC equalize amidst the emotional outburst of the Thống Nhất Stadium crowd.

The home team didn't stop there. In the 90th minute, following a misplaced long pass from Ho Chi Minh City FC, an Abu Dhabi defender clumsily scored an own goal. The Vietnamese team took a 5-4 lead.

Nine minutes of added time were not enough for Abu Dhabi to equalize. Ho Chi Minh City FC nearly scored another goal when Tran Thi Thuy Trang put the ball into the net but was ruled offside. However, this did not affect the victory of the reigning Vietnamese Golden Ball winner and his teammates.
