CMC Telecom aims to become a technology-converged service provider.

Over the past 15 years since its establishment, CMC Telecom has pursued unique paths to make its mark in the various fields it operates in. As an internet service provider, in 2017 CMC Telecom launched the CVCS (Cross Vietnam Cable System) backbone cable line.

According to Mr. Dang Tung Son, Director of Sales and Marketing at CMC Telecom, in terms of market entry timing and scale, CMC Group in general and CMC Telecom in particular find it difficult to compete with other major players. However, the company is creating its own unique identity through differentiation and investment strategies focused on meeting the specific needs of each customer.

In 2015, CMC Telecom made a massive investment, considering its size as a young telecommunications company, of hundreds of billions of dong in cloud infrastructure. As early as 2017-2018, the company had already discussed with the Ministry of Information and Communications its ambition to make Vietnam a Digital Hub for the Asia- Pacific region and the world.

This change was evident when, in May 2022, CMC Data Center (DC) Tan Thuan (Ho Chi Minh City) was established, holding PCI DSS payment security certification and TVRA certification – the highest level of security and risk prevention certification for data centers. It is also the first data center in Vietnam to possess the world's leading Tier III certifications from Uptime, covering both design and construction.

Regarding data storage infrastructure, CMC Telecom owns an ecosystem of 3 data centers: CMC Tower Data Center (Hanoi), SHTP Data Center (Ho Chi Minh City), and Tan Thuan Data Center (Ho Chi Minh City). Notably, CMC Telecom currently holds 50% of the data center market share for banks. The proactive development of a Make-in-Vietnam cloud computing platform like CMC Cloud further affirms CMC Telecom's determination to bring data to be stored in the Vietnamese "cloud".

In terms of connectivity infrastructure, CMC Telecom owns a CVCS backbone network system that connects directly to the data centers of major cloud providers worldwide with bandwidth up to 10 Gbps.
