"King" stocks drive the market.

Despite continued heavy selling by foreign investors and significant profit-taking pressure from domestic investors, the VN-Index continued to rise by nearly 10 points thanks to the resurgence of "king" stocks (banks).

On November 14th, the Vietnamese stock market saw the VN-Index briefly rise by nearly 13 points before reversing to near the reference level as investors rushed to take profits. Foreign investors also sold off over 500 billion VND on the HOSE exchange. However, by the end of the session, the VN-Index recovered due to a significant influx of buying capital.

The market's focus today was on the "king" stocks. Many bank stocks surged from the start of the session and maintained their gains throughout: EIB hit its ceiling price,SHB rose 3.62%, MSB rose 2.66%, LPB rose 2.61%, STB rose 2.56%, BID rose 2.33%, VIB and VPB rose 2.08%, MBB rose 1.93%, TCB rose 1.94%, CTG rose 1.36%, ABB rose 1.27%, ACB rose 1.11%...

Securities stocks also maintained their positive momentum despite facing significant profit-taking pressure: SBS rose 2.78%, MBS rose 1.46%, VIX rose 1.25%, AGR rose 1.01%, VDS rose 1%, SHS, SSI, HCM, CTS, BVS, VND rose nearly 1%...

Real estate stocks experienced strong profit-taking after their previous rally, but many stocks still maintained positive gains, such as: NBB up 2.43%, NVL up 2.22%, DRH up 1.88%, SZC up 1.33%, IDC up 1.03%, HDC, KDH, and VIC up nearly 1%... Conversely, some stocks reversed course and declined: DIG down 1%, DXG, DXS, KBC, and VHM down nearly 1%...

At the close of trading, the VN-Index rose 9.66 points (0.88%) to 1,109.73 points, with 365 gainers, 171 losers, and 91 unchanged stocks. On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index also increased 1.32 points (0.58%) to 227.43 points (0.58%), with 102 gainers, 59 losers, and 63 unchanged stocks. Market liquidity continued to improve, with total trading value reaching VND 19,500 billion, an increase of over VND 1,000 billion compared to the previous session.
