The ship ran aground in February 2023 at Bai Thong, Vinh Truong village, Phuoc Dinh commune, Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province. Since then, it has become a popular tourist spot for taking photos.

The ship lies about 500 meters from the shore. When the tide recedes, the "giant," rusty, old ship sits alone on the pristine beach, creating a unique scene that reminds many people of settings in American or Korean films.

The stranded ship, an old vessel long out of service, lay motionless on the beach. Over the years, various types of seaweed had clung to its hull, forming a lush, vibrant green layer. Whenever the tide receded, the ship stood out against the white sand, covered in green moss, creating a truly impressive and beautiful sight.

This mossy beach not only attracts photography enthusiasts but is also an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful space away from the hustle and bustle of the city. From a high vantage point, visitors can see the entire abandoned ship blending with the green moss and crystal-clear seawater, creating a magical natural landscape.

Despite being a relatively new and little-known tourist destination, the mossy beach resembling a stranded ship in Ninh Thuan is gradually becoming a favorite spot for those who want to experience the tranquility and pristine beauty of the sea.

Reportedly, the ship, named Thanh Hung 06, is owned by a real estate company. While en route from Nhon Trach port in Dong Nai province to Cam Ranh port in Khanh Hoa province, the ship encountered a problem, drifted, and became stranded on the coast at Bai Thong. The ship suffered a hole in its hull, a broken rudder, rusted and deteriorated hull, and recently, the hull has cracked and fractured.
