When the police "catch the trend"

Recently, social media users have frequently encountered posts from local police pages that attract a large amount of interaction. With concise content, witty presentation, and a keen awareness of youth trends, these previously dry propaganda messages have become more relatable, easy to read, and memorable than ever before.

Faced with the frustrating problem of noise from portable speakers and karaoke in residential areas, many police units have proactively changed their communication methods towards a "softer" approach. Instead of rigid reminders, posts now use lively images, humorous videos, and everyday language, creating a strong ripple effect, especially among Generation Z.

Typically, posts reminding people to adjust their volume on the An Khe Ward Police fanpage or the An Hai Ward Police Youth group have attracted thousands of interactions and hundreds of lively comments. The clever incorporation of familiar slang phrases like "neighborhood singer," "rooftop diva," and "coming to discuss business" creates humor while naturally conveying legal regulations to the public.

Thanks to its friendly approach, the An Khe Ward Police fanpage has now reached over 140,000 followers. Similarly, the An Hai Ward Police fanpage and many other localities have also recorded remarkable growth in likes, shares, and interaction from the online community.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ba Nam, Head of An Hai Ward Police, said that in implementing the directive of the City Police Director on innovating information and propaganda work associated with the "Three Best: Most Disciplined - Most Loyal - Closest to the People" emulation movement, the unit has focused on building specialized content for each target group, with priority given to dissemination on the internet.

"Urgent social issues are addressed and conveyed through accessible language, increasing two-way interaction. As a result, the messages disseminated always receive strong support and consensus from the community," Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ba Nam shared.

Beyond just addressing noise pollution, local police are also incorporating other legal regulations into their lively awareness campaigns. For example, the Hai Chau Ward Police have invested in producing video clips featuring officers and soldiers, combining modern dance moves with warning messages to raise awareness about preventing fraud and protecting personal information in the digital environment.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Truong Nhon, Head of Hai Chau Ward Police, the "Three Best" movement is not simply a competition but a continuous requirement, a measure of the quality and spirit of service to the people of each officer and soldier. The unit identifies each individual as a "building block of discipline," always setting an example in cultivating character, conduct, and maintaining a spirit of closeness to the people.

Promoting innovative and accessible forms of communication is considered a key requirement, contributing to maintaining security and order and strengthening public trust. At the same time, this approach helps to disseminate state laws and regulations, fostering a habit of accessing official information among the community, especially young people.

Spreading the image of the people's police

The Da Nang City Police Department has launched the "Three Best" campaign: Most Disciplined - Most Loyal - Closest to the People.

In practice, local police forces are undergoing a significant transformation to adapt to the demands of the times. Creative, easily understandable, and relatable communication is the "key" to bringing the law to the people. The synergy between technology, engaging content, and the sense of responsibility of officers has significantly improved the effectiveness of public mobilization efforts.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Ha, a resident of An Khe ward, humorously shared: "Since following the ward police's fanpage, every time I'm about to turn up the TV volume, I remember the funny posts and I hesitate, deciding not to turn it up anymore."

Meanwhile, Ms. Le Thi Hong (Son Tra ward) highly appreciated the creativity and sense of responsibility of the local police. She said that all questions from people sent via text message or comments on the fanpage were promptly and thoroughly responded to by the officers.

The city police announced that they are continuing to direct grassroots forces to innovate their propaganda work, especially on social media, in order to concretize the "Three Best" emulation movement. In the digital age, the criterion of "closest to the people" means delivering official information to the people through the most accessible and user-friendly methods.

When the police force is actively present on social media, people have an additional channel to access reliable information, helping to limit the impact of false and hostile information. At the same time, the authorities can promptly understand the sentiments and opinions of the public and the issues arising from real life.

Through a two-way interaction mechanism, the opinions and feedback of the people are received quickly. This not only enhances the effectiveness of state management in security and order but also contributes to building a solid people's security posture from the grassroots level.
