(Lam Dong Online) - On the afternoon of April 8th, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Lam Dong Provincial Police Department held a ceremony to launch a special political campaign commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the 135th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025); the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Police (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025); and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for Protecting National Security (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

Attending at the Provincial Police headquarters were the Deputy Directors of the Provincial Police and leaders of various professional departments. The launching ceremony was connected online to police stations in localities throughout the province.

The special political campaign will be conducted from March 2025 to the end of March 2026 with the theme "The People's Police cultivate ethics, refine conduct, value honor, unity, innovation, set an example, discipline, responsibility, selflessness for the nation, and service to the people."

The purpose of this campaign is to create strong, noticeable, and substantive changes in self-cultivation, training, maintaining honor and self-respect, setting an example of self-reflection, self-correction, self-criticism and criticism, self-identification, and combating manifestations of ideological, political, moral, and lifestyle degradation... contributing to building a truly clean, strong, regular, elite, and modern People's Public Security force.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department requested that Party committees, leaders, and commanders of agencies and units thoroughly understand the purpose, requirements, themes, content, forms, and methods of implementation in order to develop appropriate plans.

Every officer and soldier must thoroughly understand and internalize the traditions of the People's Public Security Force and the six teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, overcome manifestations of reluctance to face difficulties and hardships, and combat irresponsibility in their work and fight against individualism. They must be exemplary leaders in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; fight against and refute erroneous and hostile viewpoints, and protect the prestige and honor of the Party and the People's Public Security Force.

The Deputy Director of the Provincial Public Security Department requested a focus on four main areas during this special political activity. Specifically, he emphasized that Party committees, leaders, and commanders, especially the heads of units, must organize and direct the implementation of this political activity seriously, in accordance with the practical realities of their respective units. Each leader and commander should be assigned responsibility and organized for implementation by team, group, and thematic unit, ensuring cohesion and similarity. Attention should be paid to issues such as the need to build and strengthen the Party, build a truly clean, strong, regular, elite, and modern People's Public Security force that meets the requirements and tasks in the new situation, and set a leading example in implementing the Party's policies, upholding the spirit of responsibility in serving the Fatherland and the people.

At the same time, Party committees and leaders, especially the top leaders, must set an example in political, moral, lifestyle, conduct, self-criticism and criticism, relations with the people, responsibility in work, organizational awareness, discipline, internal unity; superiors must set an example for subordinates to follow with the motto "The superiors set a model, the subordinates actively follow"; cadres, Party members, and soldiers must set an example in their families, places of residence, and work for the people to follow; remember and effectively implement the advice of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, "Honor is the most sacred and precious thing," and the motto "When the people need help, when the people are in difficulty, the police are there."

Furthermore, identifying this special political activity as one of the key tasks for 2025 is an opportunity to enhance a sense of responsibility in self-cultivation, training, and performing professional duties, clearly demonstrating the character of revolutionary police officers and soldiers.

Each individual must consciously cultivate and improve their political acumen, promote self-criticism and criticism, self-reflection, self-correction, self-identification, prevention, and combat manifestations of ideological, political, moral, and lifestyle degradation; overcome reluctance to face difficulties and hardships, lack of responsibility in work, and combat individualism. In implementation, there must be specific assignments in leadership, direction, inspection, supervision, and evaluation of results, in the spirit of clear responsibilities, clear tasks, clear accountability, clear timelines, and clear outcomes.

Emphasis should be placed on propaganda work through mass media and social networks in the spirit of "promoting the good, suppressing the bad, promoting the positive, pushing back the negative," strengthening propaganda to protect the Party's ideological foundation, and promptly refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints; proactively identifying, replicating, commending, and honoring collectives and individuals with many good models, effective methods, courageous and humane actions, who are ready to accept hardship and sacrifice, selflessly serving the country and the people, and strictly handling cases of violations.

At the launching ceremony of the special emulation campaign, authorized by the Minister of Public Security, Colonel Le Hong Phong - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police - presented a Letter of Commendation and a cash reward of 20 million VND from the Ministry of Public Security to the Security Investigation Department; and presented Letters of Commendation and 15 million VND in cash rewards to each of the Internal Security Department and the Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department for their outstanding achievements in combating, arresting, and prosecuting individuals involved in the crime of "Making, storing, disseminating, and propagating information and documents aimed at opposing the Socialist Republic of Vietnam".

The Ministry of Public Security also awarded a Letter of Commendation and a cash prize of 20 million VND to the Criminal Police Department; a Letter of Commendation and 15 million VND to the Planning Department and the Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department; and a Letter of Commendation and 10 million VND to the Police Station of Ward 11, Da Lat City and the Command Information Center of Lam Dong Provincial Police, for their achievements in combating and dismantling a money laundering ring with transaction amounts of approximately 2 trillion VND, arresting 23 suspects, seizing 3 laptops, 30 mobile phones, and many other pieces of evidence related to the case.
