Announcement of Provincial Competitiveness Index PCI 2024: Lam Dong continues to be absent from the top 30 provinces

(LĐ online) - On May 6, 2025, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held the Announcement Ceremony of the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2024.

According to the PCI 2024 results, Hai Phong won the leading position for the first time with 74.84 points; Quang Ninh province fell to 2nd place with 73.20 points; Long An province ranked 3rd with 72.64 points; Bac Giang province ranked 4th with 71.24 points; Ba Ria - Vung Tau province ranked 5th with 71.17 points.

The ranking of the 30 provinces and cities with the best governance quality in 2024 recorded many positive changes in localities, such as: In the Top 10, Hung Yen was named for the first time, along with Hue, Hau Giang, Phu Tho and Dong Thap. In the Top 20, Ha Nam reached the 22nd position for the first time - the best result ever; Thai Binh also returned to the Top 30 after 3 years. 6 centrally-run cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Hue, Da Nang and Can Tho are all in the group 30.

In the PCI30 rankings in 2024, Lam Dong was absent for the second time after many consecutive years (from 2014-2022) in the Top 30.
