According to the directive in the official document, businesses must review and classify vehicles into three groups: vehicles fully compatible with E10 gasoline; vehicles that can use E10 gasoline but require additional technical advice or recommendations; and vehicles for which E10 gasoline is not recommended.
For vehicles deemed unsuitable, businesses need to clarify the technical reasons and propose solutions. The assessment results must be compiled and submitted to the Department of Industry before June 5, 2026, for reporting to the Ministry of Industry and Trade .

The review process focuses on factors such as engine compatibility, fuel delivery systems, fuel-contact materials, and their potential impact on operational performance, fuel consumption, engine durability, and emissions.
Beyond just technical evaluation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade also requires businesses to proactively communicate with customers through their dealer network, service centers, and official information channels. The guidance must be easily accessible, helping users identify vehicle models compatible with E10, maintenance considerations when switching fuels, recommendations for older vehicles or those that have undergone technical modifications, and situations requiring pre-use checks before using E10.
To mitigate risks during the transition period, manufacturers are also tasked with developing procedures for receiving and handling feedback related to the use of E10 gasoline. Dealerships and service centers need to be prepared with sufficient personnel, supplies, and technical support capabilities to meet customer needs.
Users will be provided with information about potential technical issues that may arise when switching to E10, how to check and clean the fuel system, and the warranty procedure in case of problems.
The requirement to publish a specific list of compatible fuels is expected to provide consumers with a better basis for choosing and using appropriate fuels, while also enhancing the responsibility of manufacturers during the transition period.
