To commemorate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026) and the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026), at the War Remnants Museum (Xuan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), Digital World Publishing Company Limited is collaborating to organize the experiential program "Visiting famous landmarks in Ho Chi Minh City from above using VR360".

The experiential area is located on the first floor of the museum. From here, visitors embark on a journey to explore Ho Chi Minh City through a digital platform with high-resolution, 360-degree panoramic images. Landmarks are recreated as "spatial data points," integrated with automatic narration and related historical information.

Sharing his thoughts on the implementation idea, Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoa, Director of The Gioi So Publishing Company Limited, said that introducing VR360 (virtual reality) technology into museum spaces not only aims to create more appeal but also contributes to "retelling" history in a new, more visual and accessible language.
“We want every visitor, when wearing VR glasses or using mobile devices, to feel like they are ‘in the middle’ of the city, freely observing, choosing destinations, and exploring in their own way. This is an inevitable trend in the development of digital museums and smart tourism,” Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoa emphasized.
Observations at the experience space revealed that many visitors expressed their delight at this novel approach. Minh Anh (a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology) shared: “At first, I thought the experience through the glasses would only provide clearer images, but in reality, it's much more interesting. The seats can be raised and lowered and tilted left and right, and the images and sounds create the feeling of sitting in a helicopter and admiring the city from above, in a very smooth way.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Quoc Huy (40 years old, a tourist from Da Nang) believes that integrating technology into museums makes the visit more engaging.
According to Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoa, in the context of the ongoing digital transformation, digitizing heritage not only helps preserve it but also expands its accessibility to the public.
The program is not only a technology-based experience but also suggests new directions in connecting history and culture with technology, contributing to enriching the spiritual lives of residents and tourists visiting Ho Chi Minh City.
