Cong Phuong returns to V-League with Dong Nai.

TPO - Striker Nguyen Cong Phuong scored in Truong Tuoi Dong Nai's 3-0 victory over Long An in Round 21 of the Bia Sao Vang 2025/26 First Division League, held on the afternoon of May 30th. This result secured Truong Tuoi Dong Nai's promotion to the V.League next season.

With Long An having already secured their place in the league, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai quickly dominated the game from the start. However, after a goalless first half, the home team had to wait until the second half to score the opening goal.

The incident occurred in the 51st minute when a Long An player handled the ball in the penalty area, resulting in a penalty for Dong Nai. Alex Sandro didn't miss the opportunity to score, giving the home team a 1-0 lead.

The lead was doubled for Truong Tuoi Dong Nai in the 64th minute when Cong Phuong took a corner kick and Luong Xuan Truong headed the ball past the Long An goalkeeper. The 3-0 victory for Truong Tuoi Dong Nai was sealed in the 66th minute with a skillful goal from Nguyen Cong Phuong.

With this result, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai officially clinched the First Division championship with 50 points, 5 points ahead of second-placed Bac Ninh with only one round remaining. Along with the championship trophy, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai will earn promotion to the V.League next season.

The play-off spot for the second promotion spot went to Bac Ninh. Their opponent will be LPBank, ranked 13th in the V.League 2025/26, along with four other contenders: PVF-CAND,SHB Da Nang, Becamex Ho Chi Minh City, and HAGL.
