The La Gan wind power project, located off the coast of Binh Thuan province, is one of the first large-scale offshore wind power projects in Vietnam. The project is being developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and two domestic developers, and managed by offshore wind experts Copenhagen Offshore Partners (COP). With a potential capacity of 3.5 GW, the project aims to meet Vietnam's long-term energy needs (providing green energy for about 7 million Vietnamese households), support the sustainable development of domestic industry and resources, and enhance Vietnam's position in the renewable energy sector globally. La Gan Company officially opened its headquarters in Lien Huong town, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province in March 2022. Previously, in March 2021, the company opened its first office in Phan Thiet city.

Since then, La Gan Company has made positive contributions to the community with typical programs such as: People's Border Guard Festival in Tuy Phong district; Sponsoring the "Step by Step for Children to Go to School" Scholarship; Giving national flags to fishermen under the "One Million Flags for Fishermen" program; Giving environmental trash bins to fishermen under the "Reducing Marine Plastic Waste" program; Awarding scholarships to the Binh Thuan Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education and Tuy Phong District; Contributing to support the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Tuy Phong district in the work of preventing the Covid-19 pandemic...

The La Gan offshore wind power project, when built and fully operational, will contribute more than US$9 billion to Vietnam’s economy over its life cycle. The project has a total investment of about US$10 billion and Vietnam’s domestic content is expected to account for 44.1% of the entire supply chain.

The La Gan offshore wind power project is expected to play a key role in promoting the economy and providing green energy for Tuy Phong district in particular and Binh Thuan province in general.
