Following the export order of 5,000 heavy UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) to South Korea, on August 20, CT Group continued to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning on policy and ecosystem development for the Low Altitude Economy (LAE), supporting Indonesia's national digital transformation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Rachmat Pambudy said he visited CT Group's headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City 4 months ago and expressed surprise at Vietnam's strong development in science and technology.
“Low-altitude space economy - LAE and national digital transformation are two new areas that are very important to Indonesia. We look forward to long-term cooperation with CT Group,” said Mr. Rachmat Pambudy.
The low-altitude space economy is a completely new economy, formed on very high technologies and is developing explosively in advanced countries. A typical example of the application of the low-altitude space economy is China. In 2023, the scale of China's LAE was only 65 billion USD, but by 2025, it is expected to reach 550 billion USD.
LAE is a multi-layered economic structure in space that takes place below an altitude of 3,000m. LAE is a "mapping" of all economic sectors on the ground brought into space with much higher productivity based on advances in science and technology such as drones, artificial intelligence, big data and the Internet of Things, balloons, aircraft, space stations, space management systems for monitoring, operating and serving.
The Indonesian government has established a Low-Earth Space Economy Committee since 2024, which is directly led by senior leaders and seeks technical cooperation from China and many other countries. At the same time, Indonesia has allocated a huge budget of up to 900 billion USD for science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, demonstrating its ambition to become one of the 5 largest economies in the world .
Mr. Ta Van Thong, Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia, emphasized that the Embassy recognized and highly appreciated the cooperation between the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning and CT Group. This cooperation not only contributes to promoting the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, but also has special significance in the context of Vietnam and Indonesia celebrating the 80th anniversary of Independence Day.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia affirms that it will always accompany, create conditions and open the door to welcome Vietnamese enterprises to cooperate, invest and do business in Indonesia.
At the event, CT Group also signed cooperation agreements with 8 leading universities in Indonesia, namely Terbuka Open University, Udayana University, IPB University, Surabaya University, Indonesian Institute of Technology (ITI), Perbanas Academy, Visi Nusantara Institute of Technology and Business (ITB Vinus), Riau University, to maximize the potential of both parties in the fields of training, human resource development and scientific research in the field of high technology.
The fact that CT Group was selected by the Indonesian Government as a strategic partner in developing the low-altitude space economy (LAE) is not only an achievement of the enterprise, but also affirms Vietnam's growing technological capacity and international position.
