Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, Nguyen Chi Tai, presented a summary of opinions and recommendations from voters and the people.

Confidence is strengthened by major policy decisions.

One of the notable highlights is that voters and the people of the city expressed deep interest in and high appreciation for the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The strategic directions regarding cultural and human development, ensuring social security, as well as the determination to intensify the fight against corruption and negative practices, have received widespread agreement and support.

Significantly, this belief is not only based on awareness but is also reinforced by practice. Voters acknowledge the efforts of the city's Party committee and government in caring for the lives of the people, especially vulnerable groups in society. Activities such as visiting and supporting war veterans, poor households, and people affected by natural disasters, particularly during the Lunar New Year, were implemented promptly and effectively.

Mobilizing social resources to support people in overcoming difficulties, especially after floods, or implementing programs to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses has created a positive effect. These policies not only improve living conditions but also contribute to strengthening people's trust in the grassroots political system.

According to Nguyen Chi Tai, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, voters in Hue also gave many positive assessments of the organization of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. With thorough preparation, intensified and diversified propaganda efforts, the election truly became a festival for the entire population.

The atmosphere of enthusiasm and confidence was clearly reflected in the high voter turnout and the public's close attention to the candidates. Therefore, as the new term begins, expectations placed on the 9th City People's Council are very high. Voters hope that the government apparatus will operate more effectively and efficiently, be closer to the people, and make timely and substantive decisions to address existing problems.

Infrastructure bottlenecks need to be removed.

A summary report of voters' opinions and suggestions shows that one of the top concerns is urban development and transportation infrastructure. In many localities such as An Cuu, Thuan An, Phong Quang, and Dan Dien, voters unanimously requested the acceleration of key projects, especially transportation projects that connect the region.

In particular, the Thuan An seaport overpass and the Vinh Tu bridge are considered crucial links in opening up opportunities for the development of the marine economy , tourism, and services. The delay in construction not only affects traffic but also reduces opportunities to attract investment and develop the local economy.

Seemingly minor issues that directly impact people's lives, such as lighting systems, local public address systems, and urban flooding, were also reflected. In some areas, every rainy season brings flooding, disrupted transportation, and the potential for accidents.

Notably, the issue of land acquisition and compensation policies continues to be a "hot" topic. Voters suggest that when implementing projects, if the remaining land area is too small or fragmented, there should be a reasonable plan for land acquisition or compensation to avoid leaving people in a difficult situation in stabilizing their lives.

In the socio-economic field, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, Nguyen Chi Tai, said that many opinions suggested that the State needs to have solutions to control prices, especially for essential goods such as gasoline and oil, in order to limit the impact on people's lives.

In parallel, tourism development is emphasized with the requirement to follow a sustainable direction. Voters proposed developing community-based tourism at destinations such as Thanh Toan tiled bridge, while also focusing on preserving and restoring historical and cultural relics.

Voters want Hue tourism to develop sustainably.

Beyond simply "preserving," the people also aspire to "revive" traditional cultural values by integrating them with tourism development. Traditional craft villages like Thanh Tien paper flower village, Tien Non flower village, and folk festivals such as the wrestling festival in Sinh village are expected to become distinctive tourism products, contributing to the livelihoods of the local people.

In the agricultural sector, voters desire a strong shift towards modernization and sustainability. Proposals focus on infrastructure investment, application of science and technology, support for seeds and supplies, and especially finding stable markets for agricultural products.

Along with development come environmental challenges. The issue of uncollected household waste in some residential areas and canals is causing public concern. Voters request that relevant authorities strengthen inspections and strictly punish polluting activities, while also raising community awareness in environmental protection.

In the healthcare sector, the challenge lies not only in infrastructure but also in the quality of human resources. Voters suggest the need for comprehensive investment and the addition of specialist doctors at the grassroots level, especially in the context of the post-merger era, where the demand for healthcare services is increasing.

The education sector also faces many new demands. Upgrading facilities, effectively utilizing surplus buildings after mergers, and ensuring a civilized and modern learning environment are issues of concern to voters.

Notably, employment continues to be a major concern for many people, especially in rural areas. The lack of stable jobs and low incomes causes difficulties for many workers. Voters suggested promoting vocational training, providing loan support, and connecting businesses to expand employment opportunities…
