Representatives of the Organizing Committee and the judging panel of the competition.
The competition is expected to contribute to the preservation, safeguarding, and promotion of traditional Vietnamese cultural and artistic values in the new era.
The Organizing Committee (OC) expects this to be a particularly important event, marking the first time in Vietnam that a competition of unprecedented scale will appear, featuring 12 genres of folk and bolero music, combining tradition and modernity, on a nationwide scale.
The competition is held both online and in-person, consisting of 5 rounds: Preliminary Round, Challenge Round, Semi-finals for each genre, Finals for each genre, and National Finals.
A new feature of the 2023 Vietnam Folk and Bolero Performance Talent Search competition is the combination of the Vdone digital platform and traditional stage in the competition's organization, creating a wider reach and direct interaction between contestants and the fan community through the technology platform during the competition.
Contestants will be evaluated and scored on a digital platform, ensuring transparency and fairness for all participants. Contestants will also earn income from fan votes.
A contestant's score will include: points from direct voting on the Vdone app by the fan community, points from the judging panel, and points from the expert panel and journalists.
Contestants performed their acts via an online app.
The competition will be broadcast live on the Vdone platform via livestream technology, aiming to create digital data on this type of musical art , digitize the preservation and storage of digital data, and provide solutions for the preservation and development of traditional art; targeting the music-loving community across the country on the Vdone social network.
This creates a digital music environment that allows artisans, artists, singers, musicians, and others to "shine".
The competition features 12 folk and bolero music genres: Northern Vietnamese folk songs, Quan Ho folk songs, Cheo theater, Central Vietnamese folk songs, Nghe Tinh folk songs, Hue - Binh Tri Thien folk songs, Bai Choi folk songs, Central Highlands folk songs, Khmer folk songs, Southern Vietnamese folk songs, Cai Luong theater, and Bolero.
