This development originated from the international market. In the last trading session of the week, the world gold price increased by 40 USD/ounce, reaching 3,587 USD/ounce in the context of investors assessing that the US Federal Reserve may soon cut interest rates after the US August employment data was lower than market expectations, the USD price went down.
The converted world gold price is about 21.7 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.

In the domestic market, at the opening, gold trading enterprises listed the price of SJC gold bars at 133.9 million VND/tael (buy) - 135.4 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 1 million VND/tael each way compared to the end of yesterday.
The price of gold rings also increased. Saigon Jewelry Company Limited set the price of gold rings of type 1-5 at only 127.7 million VND/tael (buy) - 130.2 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 1 million VND/tael each way.
The domestic gold market has just experienced a week of strong fluctuations. After the first 2 days of the holiday week, the market returned to trading with strong fluctuations from the price of SJC gold bars, increasing by 2.8 million VND/tael each way, to 131.9 million VND/tael (buy) - 133.4 million VND/tael (sell).
The reason is that during the holidays, the price of SJC gold bars remained stable while the international gold price increased sharply.
The next day, the gold price continued to increase by 500,000 VND/tael each way, reaching a new record of 132.4 million VND/tael (buy) - 133.9 million VND/tael (sell).
On September 5, the gold price reached its highest level in history at 132.9 million VND/tael (buy) - 134.4 million VND/tael (sell) after increasing by 500,000 VND/tael each way.
With the above developments, the price of SJC gold bars increased by a total of about 4.8 million VND/tael during the week.
The price of gold rings also increased and set a new record at over 130 million VND/tael.
In addition to the influence of the international market, domestic gold prices increased due to strong demand but limited supply.
